Yang Yang and Yang Zi Rumored to Join “Lost You Forever”

Popular stars Yang Yang (杨洋) and Yang Zi (杨紫) are sending waves of excitement with online rumors of them leading new xianxia romance Lost You Forever <长相思>. Both are well-recognized for their  chemistry with co-stars, but have not worked with each other previously.

Lost You Forever is adapted from a popular novel of the same name by author Tong Hua (桐华) of Scarlett Heart <步步惊心> fame. Set in a world where gods, humans, and demons co-exist, the story centers on the love and resentment between Chi You and Xi Ling Heng tribe’s daughter Xiao Yao and three men in her life: Tushan’s son Tu Shanjing, Xuanyuan’s Zhuanxu, and Shennong’s general Xiang Liu.

Crossing paths as destined, their fates for a beautiful romance and friendship gets tested in the face of family and national politics. Against uncontrollable fate, they could only accept its unrelentless torture and treasure their precious memories in forever tears…

Do Yang Yang and Yang Zi Make a Compatible Pair?

Pouring heart and soul into her writing, Tong Hua took three years to complete the novel with numerous characters and detailed worldbuilding. Praised for smooth writing, she garnered a huge fanbase and successfully achieved her goals of hoping the mythical characters and legends in her story can be more recognized.

While Tong Hua made a strong impression on her readers, the live adaptation would have infinitely higher expectations, particularly when led by a hot cast.

Rising to the top with her trending dramas Ashes of Love <香蜜沉沉烬如霜> and Go Go Squid <亲爱的热爱的>, Yang Zi continues to maintain popularity with her flexible performances and sweet girl-next-door image. Her upcoming medic and musician romance The Oath of Love <余生, 请多指教> and The Psychologist <心理师> are also greatly anticipated with her partnering with top actors Sean Xiao Zhan (肖战) and Jing Boran (井柏然) respectively.

Similarly, Yang Yang is a reliable leading man. Since his breakout performance in Love O2O <微微一笑很倾城>, the actor is again back in the limelight with his currently airing romcom You Are My Glory <你是我的荣耀> with Dilraba Dilmurat (迪麗熱巴).

Although the cast for Lost You Forever is not officially confirmed yet, Yang Zi and Yang Yang’s involvement instantly makes the project land on many fans’ to-watch list.
