Jun Ji Hyun and Joo Ji Hoon Brave Through Treacherous Conditions in “Cliffhanger”

In upcoming South Korean drama Cliffhanger, Jun Ji Hyun and Joo Ji Hoon take viewers to the breathtaking yet mysterious landscapes of the country’s national park, Mount Jiri. Although the sceneries are beautiful, the drama’s newly released trailer foretells a dangerous adventure that will put the characters to their limits.

Seo Yi kang (Jun Ji Hyun) is the park’s top ranger and partners up with Kang Hyun Koo (Joo Ji Hoon) a rookie ranger teams who claims that he can see those who perished in the park. As the two characters work together, they must overcome various weather-related challenges in the mountains while solving the mountain’s mysteries.

In the trailer, Jun Ji Hyun and Joo Ji Hyun show off their strength as they navigate around dangerous conditions that include a rushing landslide, heavy rain storm and frigid snowy weather. Despite the potential life-threatening situations, the characters persevere without hesitation as they set their eyes on the destination.

Aside from the A-listed cast, the drama is helmed by a strong production team that includes screenwriter Kim Eun Hee who also penned Netflix’s thriller Kingdom and director Lee Eung Bok who previously helmed Descendants of the Sun, Goblin and Mr. Sunshine.

Fans can look forward to the drama’s release on October 23.
