Why Wong Cho Lam’s Daughter is Calling Other Men “Dad”

Since returning to TVB as Chief Creative Officer, Wong Cho Lam (王祖藍) has been busy with content revamp and marketing of the station’s variety and infotainment programs. While there have been both hits and misses, contest format Dub of War <好聲好戲> has been particularly well-received by viewers, given its interesting focus on voice acting and showcasing the multiple talents of artistes. On September 15, its sister program Dubbing Academy <好聲好戲之聲級學堂> started inviting interested members of the public to experience for themselves what it is like to be a dubbing artiste.

Hopes to Spend More Time with Family

Already a father to two adorable daughters, Cho Lam shared that he had been so busy with work of late that he had little time for family. “I try to spend evenings with my family members and we’d go for staycations during the weekends,” he shared. A recent experience steeled his resolve to make more time as he self-mockingly adds, “I’ll have to work out my schedules, as my daughter has been calling other men ‘Daddy’ recently, she might be thinking she doesn’t have a daddy because of she doesn’t see much of me…”

Going back to his core focus of developing new programs, Cho Lam would be making fewer onscreen appearances in the days ahead, instead keeping up efforts in content strategizing as well as actively establishing contacts with business partners in the hopes of scoring more work opportunities for the company and its staff.
