Ji Chang Wook Becomes a Magician in “The Sound of Magic”

Starring Ji Chang Wook and Choi Sung Eun, upcoming Netflix series The Sound of Magic is a heart-warming story about a magician who wants to stop time to remain as a child, and a girl who can’t wait to grow up.

Based on a popular webtoon Annarasumanara, Ji Chang Wook will take on the role of Lee Eul, a mysterious magician who lives in an abandoned amusement park. The charismatic character puts on entertaining magic shows as he seeks those who still believe in magic.

Choi Sung Eun plays Yun Ai, a girl who dreams of becoming a magician. However, due to her hard life, the character decides to give up her dream to adapt to the harsh reality. When Yun Ai has a chance encounter with a mysterious magician, she gradually finds her passion again.

Joining the cast, Hwang In Yeop plays high school student Na Il Deung. Under the weight of his parent’s expectations, Na Il Deung is a model student and lives inside his own bubble. After he meets the mysterious magician, his world opens up and he learns there is more to life outside of books.

The drama will be overseen by director Kim Sun Yoon who previously helmed Itaewon Class and Love in The Moonlight.

Fans can look forward to the drama’s premiere in the first half of 2022.
