Yang Mi’s “Thank You, Doctor” Officially Wraps Up
Starring Yang Mi (楊冪) and Bai Yu (白宇), Thank You, Doctor <謝謝你醫生> has officially wrapped up filming. As the medical drama required a hospital setting, the onset of the pandemic caused delays in filming. The crew temporarily disbanded and only convened again in September to restart filming. A special behind-the-scenes compilation was released on November 9, announcing filming has finally completed.
Known primarily for her ethereal charm in historical roles, Yang Mi comments on her new professional role, “Portraying a doctor this time has given me a whole new perspective. There are no words to describe what I feel about doctors. However, I do want to say something: Thank you, doctor. Grateful for all the angels in white and all the sacrifices you make.”
Bai Yu also shared his sentiments on social media, “I am very happy to have the chance to portray my character. After walking this path, I really do have to say to our doctors: Angels in white, thank you for all your hard work!”
Touted as the Chinese version of TVB’s Kids’ Lives Matter <星空下的仁醫>, netizens are excited about the medical drama’s upcoming release.
