“Shang-Chi” Announces Sequel

The first Marvel movie featuring an all Asian cast, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, earned US$432 million globally. With its great response at the box office, Marvelhas announced their plans to film a sequel.

Director Destin Daniel Cretton was the first to confirm that he will be returning to direct the sequel. It is said that he has signed a new contract, and will also film another movie along with Shang-Chi 2.

Although Simu Liu (劉思慕) was not yet officially confirmed to return, he shared his happiness about the sequel on social media, “Flopped so hard we got a sequel!” The comment seemed to be a jab back at the naysayers who had initially criticized that the movie would be a dud.

It is unknown whether Tony Leung (梁朝偉)and Fala Chen’s (陳法拉) characters will be revived, or whether other original cast members will return.

  1. Don’t see how the dead will come back to life unless it is a prequel or a multiverse recarnation

  2. I mean it’s pretty obvious, since when does Marvel not make sequels for its movies.

  3. I hope Awkafinafuiagdoasdas’s, whatever her name is, character get cut off from the sequels. Her character added nothing to the story and she sucks at acting. Film was better without her, really.
