Yang Zi and Chen Xiao Rumored to Play Psychologists in “Bright Lights”

Following releases of their respective summer hits, Andy Yang Zi (楊紫) and Chen Xiao (陳曉) may have a chance to work together in producer Derek Yee’s <爾冬陞> upcoming psychological drama.

Bright Lights <燈火通明> follows an experienced overseas psychologist returning to China to work with a team of psychologists to assist patients with a variety of emotional and mental conditions. Both Yang Zi and Chen Xiao are expected to  portray psychologists in the new drama.

While Yang Zi has challenged herself with a similar role in The Psychologist <女心理師>, she is expected to deliver a very different performance to differentiate the characters. Meanwhile, Chen Xiao has shown to choose eclectic scripts over the years. Recognized for his acting skills and attractive looks, the actor will likely make big splashes if he decides to star in Bright Lights with creative plans to portray his character realistically.

The drama is led by producer Derek Yee <爾冬陞>, whose Hong Kong films have won critical and box office acclaim in the past. Although still awaiting official casting announcements, fans are already enthusiastic over the possible collaboration between Yang Zi and Chen Xiao.
