Han So Hee Touted as the New “Queen of Advertisement”
Since her breakthrough role in The World of the Married, South Korean actress Han So Hee has become one of South Korea’s most recognized faces. In addition to landing lead roles in hefty dramas, she has also topped Jun Ji Hyun for the title of “Queen of Advertisement,” endorsing 18 brands compared to the latter’s 14.
Netflix helped boost Han So Hee’s international recognition, after the actress starred on the streaming giant’s Neverthess and My Name. She will be seen next in upcoming dystopian thriller Gyeongseong Creature opposite Park Seo Joon. Only 28 years old, Han So Hee’s future continues to shine brightly although she was saddled with paying back her mother’s massive debt for years.
Although the award-winning actress has a healthy image and is widely considered as a top Hallyu star, Jun Ji Hyun took a hiatus to focus on family life after filming Mount Jiri last year. The short break from the spotlight may have hindered her popularity and paved way for a younger actresses to shine. Despite no longer being the most endorsed Korean actress, Jun Ji Hyun is a power earner, raking an endorsement fee of US$700,000. Just in advertisements and commercials alone, Jun Ji Hyun earns an estimated US$10 million.
