Ji Chang Wook Ends His Contract With Management Agency

Ji Chang Wook, 35, announced that he has decided not to renew his contract with his management agency, Glorious Entertainment, after a 14-year partnership. A spokesperson from the agency commented, “We both decided on a beautiful farewell and will root for each other in the future.”

Ji Chang Wook has starred in many popular dramas including Empress Ki, Healer, and The K2. After being discharged from the military in 2019, he still commanded great popularity overseas but unfortunately Melting Me Softly, Backstreet Rookie, If You Wish Upon Me did not achieve the same level of popularity as his previous works.

It is said that he is currently seeking a new agency, hoping to grow his career. The factors that he will be taking into consideration when making a decision include whether the company has reliable people that he already knows, and whether they have a good eye for quality projects.

His new Disney+ drama, The Worst of Evil, will air in the first half of this year. He is also considering the offer to film Revolver with Jeon Do Yeon.

  1. His recent projects did not high the spot for me… I could not finish any of the last 4 dramas..
He is not the only popular male actor that is struggling to claim his previous top spot after being discharged from the military. But a change of management company might be good for him. It is so hard to tell…

So many actors get lost in the shuffle when they return from the military. Ji Chang Wook is just one of many. His last few dramas lacked that essence that had him up there with the popular drama actors. Maybe a new management company can pump some new blood into him.
Why can’t a certain young actor from you know where do the same,LOL. That vamp is sucking him dry, (in more ways than one), *wink*, *wink*, and ruining his future. All the best in the future toJi Chang Wook.
