Kevin Cheng to Appear in “Call Me by Fire 3”
Last season’s Call Me by Fire <披荊斬荊3> was a huge hit and featured several Hong Kong artistes. The third season of the music competition will start filming on June 30. Although producers tried to recruit Bosco Wong (黃宗澤), he will not be joining and Kevin Cheng (鄭嘉穎) and Kenny Kwan (關智斌) are the only prominent Hong Kong stars on the show.
Call Me by Fire 3 features 30 experienced male artistes – with 16 coming from China, including Lu Yi (陸毅), Hu Bing (胡兵), Chen Chusheng (陳楚生), Tiger Hu (胡彥斌), Yu Haoming (俞灝明), and Zhang Yuan (張遠). Representing Taiwan, Jimmy Lin (林志穎), Lan ChengLung (藍正龍), Shin (蘇見信), and Danson Tang (唐禹哲) will be participating.
Only Kevin Cheng and Kenny Kwan will be representing Hong Kong, whereas in the last season they had Raymond Lam (林峯), Ron Ng (吳卓羲), Jordon Chan (陳小春), Pakho Chau (周柏豪), Hawick Lau (劉愷威), Deric Wan (溫兆倫), and Chilam Cheung (張智霖). Although Bosco was originally invited to participate in the third season, he was unable to compete due to scheduling conflicts.
The third season will also have contestants from other regions, including Korean-American Nicky Lee (李玖哲) from the Hip Hop group Machi; Victor Ma (馬伯騫); actor Ambrose Hui (許紹洋); Jawn Ha (何展成); Malaysian singers Victor Wong (品冠) and Nicholas Teo (張棟樑); Japanese singer Rikimaru Chikada (近田力丸); and Thai actor Jeff Satur (羅杰夫).
