Sisley Choi and Matthew Ho Lead Younger Cast in “Let Me Take Your Pulse”
TVB’s medical dramas in recent years have boasted A-list casts and intense, yet touching stories. Hoping to mirror its success, Let Me Take Your Pulse (你好,我的大夫), explores the practice of traditional Chinese medicine. The drama sees Sisley Choi (蔡思貝) and Matthew Ho (何廣沛) in lead roles. Greener faces Ricco Ng (吳偉豪), Kayan Yau (游嘉欣), Erica Chan (陳嘉慧), and Danny Hung (孔德賢) give somewhat raw performances, but the young cast lends a refreshing presence.
Portraying childhood friends who later become traditional Chinese medicine practitioners, Sisley and Matthew’s characters reunite after spending 10 years apart in different countries. Due to their life experiences and training, they hold distinctly different approaches to the practice. While Matthew is an idealist, Sisley is realistic in her decisions and methods. Working in the same clinic, they learn to hone their skills and work together to change the status quo.
With TVB’s seasoned artistes leaving the nest and seeking opportunities elsewhere, the station has been short on casting options. TVB has been diligently seeking out and developing new talent. By having Sisley and Matthew lead the younger cast in Take Your Pulse, TVB hopes to set up more mentoring opportunities on set.

This was actually a pretty good drama, the newbies did a decent job as well,
There’s a sequel potential in this..
My opinion may be the minority here, but I always found Sisley choi and Mathews acting lacking, and no charisma. I’ll admit they had some good roles, but when the roles aren’t that great, the acting doesn’t deliver. A good actor can deliver a role regardless whether story is actually good .
