Nam Joo Hyuk’s “Vigilante” to Release on November 8
Although Korean actor Nam Joo Hyuk is currently enlisted in the military, his new revenge-themed drama Vigilante will release on November 8. Due its airing on the Disney+ platform, the drama is being dubbed as the “Korean Batman” based on its theme and storyline.
Based on a popular Korean webtoon of the same name, Vigilante depicts the story of a young boy who witnesses the brutal beating and murder of his mother, and his road to vengeance by enlisting in the police academy. Vowing to avenge his mother’s death after the murderer gets away with a light sentence, Kim Ji Yong (Nam Joo Hyuk) becomes the police academy’s star pupil – boasting excellent martial arts skills and intelligence.
Unable to tolerate the injustice in the system, Nam Joo Hyuk transforms into a dark knight to exact revenge on those who deserve it. When the media scrambles to expose who the vigilante is, Nam Joo Hyuk enters the race of his life – simultaneously trying to punish criminals who escaped the law while running away from the police himself.
Vigilante also stars Yoo Ji Tae, Lee Joon Hyuk, and Kim So Jin.
