Former EEG Artiste Deep Ng is Now a Construction Worker

Since leaving Emperor Entertainment Group, artiste Deep Ng‘s (吳浩康) jobs have varied. Well loved by advertisers, he is a part-time singer and continues to receive performance opportunities. Facing rising bills as he needs to support his family, Deep has been working in the construction industry as well.

Many praised Deep for being a real man and doing what is necessary to take care of his family. However, some netizens criticized him for using his construction work as a means of self-promotion for entertainment gigs.

Responding to these claims, Deep stated that financial reality is harsh and he must take care of his family. On a social media post he tagged, #I actually don’t want to do this but I don’t have money, #My monthly expenses are at least 50, 000 Hong Kong dollars #I have to sell my kidney soon, and #too bad my kidneys are weak.

Even when the Hong Kong government issued a T3 alert for strong tropical cyclone winds, Deep still showed up at work on time. He shared on social media that he was at Central helping to set up the stage for the S2O Hong Kong Songkran Music Festival. He had also built a wooden scaffold at one of his earlier construction projects. Despite the long hours and working in the heat all day, Deep would frequently share vlogs of his work days.
