Takuya Kimura’s Daughter Stars in Film Adaption of True Beauty
Japanese famed actor and singer Takuya Kimura will see his daughter, Koki , on the big screen as she takes the lead role in the Japanese film adaptation of True Beauty.
Since her debut in 2018, Koki has been making a name for herself in the entertainment industry as a model, singer and an actress. While fans are excited to see the starlet in the upcoming rom-com, fans were surprised to see Koki’s new “ugly” image in the film’s teaser.
In True Beauty: Before and After, Koki plays Reina, a high school student who suffers from bullying due to her appearance. Hoping to change her life, Reina becomes an expert of donning makeup and transforms into a goddess.
In the newly released teaser, Koki is shown in two contrasting images that emphasizes her “before and after” makeup transformation. Fans are impressed by Koki’s ugly styling as Koki appears with a face filled with acne. Comparing the Japanese film adaptation to the South Korean drama, fans praised the film for having a more dramatic makeup transformation. Fans are also excited to see Koki’s performance in the film adaptation.
The film will be released in two parts. True Beauty: Before will be released on March 20, 2025, and True Beauty: After will be released on May 1, 2025.
