Andy Hui Seen Out with Sammi Cheng

Caught cheating with actress Jacqueline Wong (黃心穎) in 2019, Andy Hui (許志安) severely damaged his public image. Having referred to himself as a “broken man,” Hui, who told had his wife, Sammi Cheng (鄭秀文) “Give me a chance, I can turn things around” was fortunate to receive her forgiveness.

The couple recently appeared together during Sammi’s “You & Mi” concert in July, performing a duet at a distance, the first time the two performed together publicly after their marital crisis.

Sammi shared that learning what the word “cherish” truly meant was enough for her, and was grateful that her fans were accepting of Andy. Fans also noticed him waiting to pick her up after her performances, indicating their strong bond.

Following the concert, the couple were spotted holding hands while strolling the streets of Tokyo. Andy, who had his wedding ring on, had a bold black circle on his right arm which appeared to match the thin red circle on Sammi’s left arm, symbolizing their connection. Sammi, who made it clear she would indulge in food on the trip to make up for the five-month-diet she adhered to, later expressed on social media that she was still unsatisfied with some of the meals!

Back in Hong Kong, Andy was spotted buying from a famous siu laap (barbecued meat) stall, after dropping Sammi off at the gym for an exercise session earlier. Accommodating her request for more delicious food, and atoning his past errors by playing the “perfect husband”, he appeared to be a regular of the stall, quickly leaving holding a bento to retrieve his car which he had parked nearby, to avoid a parking ticket.

Acknowledging that the cheating scandal has left a lasting scar, Andy has since re-launched his singing career, holding low-profile concerts in recent years, and even meeting up with fans.  Grateful for Sammi’s encouragement and forgiveness, he has been showing through his actions that he is committed to making amends.
