Huang Xiaoming Apologizes for Girlfriend’s Verbal Gaffe
Making public his romance with influencer Ye Ke (葉珂), actor Huang Xiaoming (黃曉明) has recently apologized for the latter’s scandals at a recent publicity event for his latest film!
Audience Are Supportive
Actively interacting with fans on social media since the actor made their relationship public, Ye Ke had stirred up controversy by criticizing the songs of Taiwanese singers Wu Bai (伍佰) and David Tao (陶喆) as being “obscene”, while describing David Tao’s Marry Me Today <今天你要嫁給我> as an “embarrassing song”, causing an uproar among netizens.
Appearing at Xiamen to promote his new film A Cover-up <戴假髮的人>, he expressed in a somber tone that he has been feeling “troubled and saddened” due to some messy matters recently. Expressing that he is wary about delaying the movie due to his personal problems, Huang Xiaoming said, “I’m really, really sorry and feel really bad about this! Actually, I’ve read every one of your messages, and will surely handle my own matters properly, at the same time I will continue to work hard, I’d like to apologize to everyone again,”
Bowing with knitted brows, the 47-year-old appeared visibly agitated and could not recover his emotions. When the crew gestured for him to get up, he refused to and bowed for about 20 seconds. It was only when the audience responded with shouts of “Jiayou!” that he finally relented; one in the audience also shouted out a reassuring “Bro, you’re not at fault”.
