TVB Holds Anniversary Gala

On November 19, TVB held its annual Anniversary Gala show and the station’s stars were out in full force. In prominent positions were Moses Chan (陳豪), Ruco Chan (陳展鵬), Wayne Lai (黎耀祥), Kenneth Ma (馬國明), Nancy Wu (胡定欣), Sisley Choi (蔡思貝), Rosina Lam (林夏薇), Katy Kung (龔嘉欣), and Kelly Cheung (張曦雯).

Artistes who have fallen out of favor, such as Ali Lee (李佳芯) and Gigi Yim (炎明熹), were not in attendance. Priscilla Wong (黃翠如), who just announced her pregnancy, was not there either.

The Anniversary Gala featured performances from William So (蘇永康), Prudence Liew (劉美君), and Raymond Lam (林峯). Raymond sang four songs and walked to the stage when he belted out his classic song Love is Not Enough <愛不疚>. All the artistes stood up and Mayanne Mak (麥美恩) gave him a hug. Afterwards, Raymond brought the night to a climax when he performed his dance songs Chok and Nice. When he left the stage, he especially went to Rosina to give her a hug.

After Katy’s magic performance, she helped pick the raffle winner and ended up selecting her own name and won $25,000 Hong Kong dollars. Last year’s big prize winner Juliana Kwok (郭珮文) won again as she picked up HK $25,000. Host Heidi Chu (朱凱婷) jokingly re-enacted the hug that Mayanne infamously gave Juliana last year. Other prizes went to Auston Fung (馮顯藝) as he won cash coupons to an eye institute and other prizes worth HK $170,000.

The biggest winner was Miss Hong Kong 2024 contestant Tracy Chung (鍾翠詩), who won financial deposits of HK$430,000 and other prizes with a total value of over $500,000 HK.

Jackie Cai (蔡潔) won an electric car and other prizes worth HK $280,000. In May, Jackie drove during a rainstorm and was trapped as the car filled with water. She was heartbroken as she had to declare the car as a total loss. Her win came at a great time and she excitedly expressed she now has a car for work.

Other artistes at the Anniversary Gala included: Joel Chan (陳山聰), Shaun Tam (譚俊彥), Benjamin Yuen (袁偉豪), Him Law (羅子溢), Owen Cheung (張振朗), Joey Law (羅天宇), Kalok Chow (周嘉洛), Rico Ng (吳偉豪), Moon Lau (劉佩玥), Samantha Ko (高海寧), Elaine Yiu (姚子羚), Alice Chan (陳煒), Rosita Kwok (郭柏妍), and Hera Chan (陳曉華).
