Kenneth Ma Denies Roxanne Tong’s Pregnancy Rumors
As an avid fan of Donald Duck, Kenneth Ma (馬國明) had the opportunity to attend an endorsement event related to the character. Sharing he has over 9,000 Donald Duck collectible items, including plush dolls, stationary, and others, Kenneth gave up one of his collectible dolls to be stored at the event.
On whether he is being forced by his wife, Roxanne Tong (湯洛雯), to part with his valuables, Kenneth clarified, “I am willingly doing so, because I really do have too many collectible items. In addition to Donald Duck, I also have a lot of watches, Japanese artist photo albums, and Leslie Cheung’s (張國榮) records and photo albums. My wife has been very considerate and saved a lot of space in the house for me to keep these things. Women ultimately have more things than men do, so I want to give up some of my space to store her items.”
Soon to celebrate their one-year anniversary, the couple is said to be expecting. Asked about the pregnancy rumors, Kenneth said, “When my wife is pregnant, we will announce it. She is not pregnant, so everyone can stop guessing whether we are just not sharing the news yet. We will leave our family planning up to fate and take things naturally. She is feeling well lately. If there are any good scripts and roles, she will definitely take on filming projects.”
With the TVB Anniversary Awards just around the corner, competition for the Best Acting awards is in full force. Although not nominated this year for the Best Actor category, Kenneth commented about this year’s nominees, “It’s difficult to choose. It’s relatively equal, so no one is definitely going to win. Rosy Business 4 (巾幗梟雄之懸崖) and Darkside of the Moon (黑色月光) have been really popular lately. I hope Edwin Siu (蕭正楠) can win Best Actor, but I don’t understand why he didn’t get a nomination for Rosy Business 4. Personally, I want him to win the award at least once, because I think he did great in several dramas.”
Also in attendance at the event was Lee Lung Kei (李龍基), who has been gracing headlines due to his fiancée, Chris Wong ‘s (王青霞) legal troubles. For his contribution, he placed a Donald Duck clay doll that Chris made into storage at the event. With Chris serving a 25-month prison sentence, Lee Lung Kei responded, “When I think about her being in jail, I feel very uncomfortable. She lost her freedom and can’t do anything while in prison. This is the most painful part. Fortunately, she is surrounded by resources and a lot of books. I’ve brought over 60 books for her. She loves to read and has picked up on many wise principles of life. She is doing a lot better now. She will be released on July 7, 2025, so we are looking forward to that date. We’ve been through a lot together, so she feels confident now because she knows her ‘husband’ will be by her side.”
