“Triumph in the Skies 2” Cast Heads to Hainan
The cast of Triumph in the Skies 2 <衝上雲霄II> headed to Hainan, China to film on location for the pilot drama on September 11. Resuming their single status recently, Myolie Wu (胡杏兒) and Ron Ng (吳卓羲), vowed that they will not generate love sparks, delivering professional performances only.
Myolie and Ron Will Only Have Professional Collaboration
Supporting her brother-in-law, Vincent Cheng (鄭泳舜), for local district elections, Myolie Wu was blasted for indirectly supporting the DAB political party, known for its pro-mainland China stance. Myolie’s ex-boyfriend, Bosco Wong (黃宗澤), defended her for having her own rights to support the political candidate of her own choice as a Hong Kong citizen. Myolie thanked Bosco for his support, while indicating that he also knew her brother-in-law. Asked if she will step forward to support Bosco in time of need, Myolie said that it will depend upon the circumstances.
In Triumph in the Skies 2, Myolie will portray lovers with Ron Ng. Since Myolie will play a shy aircraft technician, she may not have any kissing scenes with Ron. Asked if their close partnership in the drama will generate love sparks, Myolie dodged the question and pointed to her shy personality in the drama.
Asked if Ron and Myolie will mutually comfort their wounded hearts, he replied, ” Why did my gambling luck not increase? No lah! If we were to chat, we will only discuss the script!”
Ron and Him Refuse to Wear Swimming Briefs
With Hainan renown for its beaches, the cast will be wearing their swimwear for scenes in Triumph in the Skies 2. Myolie Wu brought two sets of bikinis, in which she will wear one for filming and reserve another one for suntanning use. Staying in Hainan until September 17, Myolie will treat the trip as a semi-vacation due to limited scenes requiring her presence.
Him Law (羅仲謙) and Ron Ng were teased by the media as to whether they will display their good figures and wear swimming briefs for the beach scenes. As a former lifeguard, Him said that he has “retired” his swimming briefs and will only wear them inside his swimming trunks as an extra safety precaution.
Ron joked that his legs were long and he had too much leg hair, declining to wear swimming briefs during filming.
