TVB Artists Campaign for Votes for Anniversary Awards
The race for this year’s TV King and Queen competition is heating up as the 45th TVB Anniversary award ceremony will be held on Monday, December 17. Current favorites to win TV Queen, Kate Tsui (徐子珊) and Tavia Yeung (楊怡), and dark horse nominee, Aimee Chan (陳茵媺) appeared an event to campaign for votes yesterday.
As soon as their favorite idols appeared on the stage,devoted fans were waving banners with Kate’s or Tavia’s names to show their support. Many of Kate’s and Tavia’s fans shouted, “You will always be our TV Queens in our hearts!”
Support from the Executives
Wearing the lucky #8 banner, Kate mentioned she has already tried to convince TVB executives, Virginia Lok (樂易玲) and Norman Leung (梁乃鵬) to vote for her at the Highs and Lows <雷霆掃毒> celebration dinner. She will try her best to get everyone’s vote, even from TVB majority shareholder, Charles Chan (陳國強). Kate said, “I want give it my best shot to get every single vote. Even if I end up losing, I will have no regrets as I have tried very hard to win the award!”
“Please Vote for My Boyfriend!”
With a slim chance of winning the TV Queen award, Aimee Chan rallied people to vote for her boyfriend, Moses Chan (陳豪), as TVB King instead. Aimee said she will vote for Moses because he is her boyfriend.
Standing next to her, was potential winner Tavia Yeung who revealed that she will not vote for Him Law (羅仲謙) if he is nominated for TV King. She will vote for Kenneth Ma (馬國明) instead. Tavia will not let personal reasons interfere with her selection.
After realizing her comment might have offended Aimee, Tavia said she was only speaking from her heart and did not mean to insult her. Tavia laughed and continued, “I didn’t vote for Him Law. Instead I voted for Koo Ming Wah (古明華) [for Best Supporting Actor]. However, I will still support Him in my heart and I hope he will win an award.”

Ron Ng will not be attending?
lulz, after his wreck in SSSS? He has no chance in anything since the past few years. Looking forward for him in TITS 2 though. But there are rumors of Ron planning an exit from TVB after next year or the next, not sure. Too much competition from the fadans.rising stars, which are honestly a threat to people like him who’ve been in the industry for 10 years. If there’s anything to blame, he has to blame his own acting, which haven’t improved much since The Academy.
The only thing I admire Ron, he sing the theme song of Rosy Business “Red Butterfly”
But I have to say he have a great voice. Better than Bosco in my opinion.

i am not a fan of aimee but she did look pretty in the tv series about lawyers with tavia and kenneth. But she does not look as good now.
Sorry, I wouldn’t consider Aimee Chan anywhere near Dark Horse, Mr. Lance (writer)….I assume everyone here would agree with me. The only apparent challenge we’ll see is the Best Actress section and the Best Supporting Actor section. Every thing else is pretty much a given. As much as I want Kenneth Ma to win, there will be no doubt Raymond Lam will take over. As for the best actress, that is subjective and will only lead to comment arguments. Monday we will know.

I think the BA should be Damien Lau. Although many find that SSSS is boring but its undeniable that his acting and expressions were close to perfect!!!

Apple Daily’s poll for Best TV awards was apparently hacked to give Kate Tsui a last minute surge in votes, beating Charmaine Sheh to win Best Actress. Raymond Lam won Best Actor.

Does it even make a difference if Raymond lose or won the award? I mean if he lose he will still be rich and famous and when he won he will still be rich and famous.
The award to him is meaningless. He has very large fanbase for a very long time until he screws up something.
