Ada Choi Clarifies Miscarriage Rumors

Rumors are quickly circulating that Ada Choi (蔡少芬) has nearly suffered a second miscarriage. Prior to conceiving daughter, Zoe, Ada’s first pregnancy has also ended in miscarriage. As the public became alarmed over the news, the 39-year-old actress quickly clarified on her Weibo blog that the baby is safe and there has been misunderstanding.

At a church sermon last week, Ada shared a story of how she had suffered excessive bleeding while on board a plane in October. Sudden Weekly reported that a helicopter was quickly called to allow Ada to disembark for a medical emergency.  Max Zhang (張晉) allegedly rushed Ada to the hospital for critical care. The tabloid reported that Ada had a placental abruption and was frantic in nearly losing another baby.

On December 27, Ada reassured her friends and fans that she is having a healthy pregnancy. “There is indeed a slight placental rift, but it is not as excessive as reported!  Contrary to reports that said I was hospitalized for 2 weeks, I only stayed home and rested for 2 weeks! There is no need for everyone to worry! The baby and mom are both healthy! Please don’t worry; hope that everyone was not too scared.”

Ada revealed that she only shared her incident at church to express gratitude for God, that no further complications had occurred. However, Ada’s story resulted in a misunderstanding regarding the state of her pregnancy.
