Bosco Wong Admits He is Not a Pleasant Person
At the 45th TVB Anniversary Awards, many eyes were glued to Bosco Wong (黃宗澤) and Myolie Wu (胡杏兒), as it would be one of the first times the now defunct couple were making a public appearance at the same event. Many still remember last year, when Myolie tearfully and famously gave her TV Queen acceptance speech which turned into a love confession about being “hard to bear with”. When asked if he felt indifferent at this year’s award ceremony, Bosco dodged the question with a silly reply, “Yes I did feel different because I was wondering if I’d be standing in the same spot next year. Who knows? I might be dead next year.”
After a long pause, he finally said, “We’re not strangers. We did nod and acknowledge each other. Yes, the feeling was different this year. How do I begin to explain? If this was mother nature’s plan all along, we have to accept the fact.”
Bosco wants to let the past be the past and not dwell on his relationship with Myolie anymore, although he acknowledged that they still send courtesy text messages to each other, such as to say Happy Birthday. When pushed harder about the reason for the break-up, Bosco admits that he is not the easiest to bear with. “I’m not gentle, I’m picky and have many requests. I don’t really know how to take care of someone and always need someone to take care of me. I don’t have a bad temper but I’m not the most pleasant to be around especially at home. I think it’s because I’m obsessive compulsive. Whether it’s my mom, friend or girlfriend, if someone moved my stuff around at the house, I have to put it back in its original position. I’m not a sweet person. I only cook meals, prepare some soups, and bake cookies. I don’t even give flowers!” Because of that, Bosco only gives himself 50 points out of 100 as a boyfriend.
His eight-year relationship with Myolie has changed him in other ways. In the past, he enjoyed going out at night to meet with friends, but now he will invite friends to his house instead. “If I need to see friends, then I’ll bring my girlfriend too, so I can see my friends and girlfriends at the same time!
“Before, I never smiled much, especially around people I don’t know. But my manager suggested I change my ways to smile more and be more approachable. So now that I smile more and talk more, people say I’m a playboy! I just try to strike a balance between the both. Besides, I can meet more people and get more work.”
Although Bosco and Myolie’s relationship is now a thing of a past, hopefully Bosco’s new approach towards life and work will open up more opportunities for him and help him forget the painful past.

Totally agree and no one is perfect and it is always great to learn from your past mistakes and become a better person. No one can satisfy anyone 100% because no one is perfect…
At least he admits to his own attitude and personality. Men who pretend, hide, and pish the blame on their ex are the most repulsive. All I can say is that I wih him all the best in both his career and personal life. He has great potential in acting,hope he can improve and become better.

I hate how they keep bring past relationships up… I think they are over for sure now so they should just let it go. It wasn’t even a bad breakup at least they’re still on good terms.

It’s okay Bosco….you have a long way to go in your career. Breaking up with Myolie was probably the best choice for both of you. Myolie’s career is meh, at this moment. It seems people already forgot about her TV Queen win. I also doubt she’ll get another one. Not being a hater, just being an observer. TY is honestly good now, and she’s going to fire up this year’s competition. As much as I dislike Myolie and TY, I’d rather watch TY anytime. Bosco, stay where you are! One day, you will get TV King.

I just think that Myolie and Bosco were just different. I think their expectation for each other started to change. Sometimes you get bored of each other and forget what you loved about each other. Sometimes its good that they broke up. I mean now that their both single, they can focus on their career. I think that myolie has a lot of potential and so does bosco… I wish them well!
