Eddie Cheung Injured While Filming Sniper Attack 2013
Eddie Cheung (張兆輝) recently suffered a minor injury to his right ear while filming an action scene for TVB’s highly anticipated drama Sniper Attack 2013 <神槍狙擊2013>. The veteran actor, who performed his own stunts whenever possible, was hit by debris during an explosion scene. Despite the injury, Eddie remained professional and the scene was completed without further incidents.
Playing a member of the Special Duties Unit (SDU), Eddie had numerous action scenes and injured his ear yesterday. He was filming a scene in which a heavy object fell onto the hood of a vehicle in a parking lot. The film crew placed explosives on the windshield to simulate the impact of the fall. An experienced actor, Eddie immediately turned his head away to protect himself when the explosive went off. The explosion scraped Eddie’s right earlobe.
“At the time, I felt the immense pain. I withstood the pain and continued to speak my lines. Due to the pain, I felt that time passed very slowly. I was surprised why [the director] did not shout ‘Cut’ yet. Fortunately, I was not cut by glass,” Eddie said.
Despite the dangers of filming action sequences, Eddie was not afraid to perform his own stunts and plans to do so in his future projects.
Today, Eddie and Michael Tse (謝天華) filmed a rescue scene in which Kathy Chow (周海媚) and Miki Yeung (楊愛瑾), who portray sisters in Sniper Attack 2013 were kidnapped. With less than two weeks of principal photography remaining, the cast and crew are preparing for a presidential assassination and a shootout scene.
Since Sniper Attack 2013 started filming, the cast has been plagued by negative rumors. Kathy Chow denied rumors of discord with Miki Yeung. Kathy insisted that the reports were false and that she has been very happy working with everyone, especially with friends Eddie and Michael. She hoped that the press will stop creating rumors out of thin air.
Also starring Eliza Sam (岑麗香) and Kate Tsui (徐子珊), the drama will be released later this year.

Th evergreen, ever beautiful Kathy Chow, my kind of lady
kathy looks better now than she did when she was younger
no she doesn’t…
I think she looks good for her age but of course, she looked better back then.
Eddie used to be a hottie back in those days. He always played the gentlemen business role.
I adore Eddie, he’s ever the professional and truly he’s quite a good actor. I remember reading an interview with him before and he seems respectful and admirable.
Me too. I love Eddie’s acting. I heard he is a good husband and father too. He is truly a good actor and is very professional. That ear injury sounds very painful and hope he recovers soon. Great to see him and Kathy act together again after so many years…. Wish that they can do an ancient series together in the near future.
I like them both
Is that Eddie? It doesn’t look like him. I like him. Another bad boy who is actually really a good person.
Aw. The picture of Eddie and Kathy brings back memories of old TVB series. I remember having VHS tapes of one called “Being Honest” that starred them both. I’m sure I would think the plot is shallow now, but back then, I loved it!
