Alex Fong’s Daughter Helps Block Away Pursuers
Although Alex Fong (方中信) had not been prepared for the accidental pregnancy of Hoyan Mok (莫可欣) in 2007, he is now a proud father who reveals a bright smile whenever he mentions his daughter, Fu Ka Ching (符迦晴). During time off work, he would spend quality time together with his family.
Alex joked that his daughter is like his amulet that helps block away unlucky pursuers. “When I film in mainland China, I attend dinners and sing karaoke, but there’s nothing more to them. Maybe it’s because people are aware that I’m always talking about my daughter. It’s not like they would want to ‘buy one, get one free’, and not give birth themselves!”
Almost 5-years old, Ka Ching is ready to attend primary school. Alex laughed and said, “It seems like she won’t be good at studying, so I’ll be choosing a school which allows for free development.”
Alex was hit with grief with the recent death of his father due to cancer. When his father was first diagnosed, Alex was filming for A Great Way to Care 2 <仁心解碼II>. He admitted that the first few days of work had been painful, and that time is the best healing method. “It was really hard to accept the truth, but I had to, because there was no choice. As soon as I got off work, I would rush to visit my father. In the drama, I also had a scene in which a loved one passed away. The script was very real; when I watched that episode a few days ago, the inner emotions reflected were the same as those during my father’s death.”
Besides the condition of his father, Alex had a great time filming A Great Way to Care 2 with the cast. Having romantic ties with Tavia Yeung (楊怡) and Yoyo Mung (蒙嘉慧) in the drama, Alex said, “I see Tavia as a man. She is a tomboy who is very playful. We play around all day until we physically fight. In terms of Yoyo, we’ve collaborated many times already. I’m happy for her now that she is Mrs. Cheng!”
Portraying a forensic psychiatrist consultant, Alex laughed and said that he definitely does not have psychological problems in real life. “I’m considered as a person with a grumpy temper, and the downside is that people see through my emotions right away. However, it’s good that I don’t stack up negative emotions inside, affecting my mood and causing depression.”
Alex revealed that his temper improved after the birth of his daughter. With a child, he realized there is nothing worth being angry about. He has a stable life together with his family, and few things provoke him to lose his temper. In fact, his wife plays the strict parent in raising their daughter.
Although Alex is not a contracted artist, he has a good relationship with TVB. Alex would be glad to film future dramas as long as there are suitable roles.

You know, 3 articles about the same subject matter is a bit overdone.
LOL! I supposed it helped to promote the series.
The whole series, I only find Edwin Siu character entertaining. Oscar is acceptable too 🙂
Others like they are more to day-dreaming @@!!
Even Tavia acting deadly weird @@!!
Needless to comment on woody Yoyo n also Alex himself @@
Not really, remember the Ray and Karena ordeal??? Boy, how many articles was that? There were many other topics that were way more than 3 articles so 3 is not that bad at all.
Funn,
I find it refreshing to hear about happy fathers. We can take away something positive from this, rather than the more frequent stories of male celebrities feeling the marriage pressure but having cold feet.
But it is the same happy father times 3. Are there no other happy celebrity fathers in HK? What about a feature on them and their children?
Why Alex daughter’s surname is not same as Alex ” FONG”?? It is Fu?
cus alex fong isn’t his real name? his real name us fu lik
Why does Alex’s daughter have a different last name than him? It’s “Fu”, but not “Fong”?!
Alex’s real name is Fu Lik (符力)=)
:O Serious?? Woah, didn’t know that! Thanks for the info !
i think A Great Way to Care II has too many main characters….i keep forgetting Tavia is even in the drama due to reduced screen time for all the characters!
How can you forget that Tavia is in the drama when she appears in like every episode? o.o
Weird that he does not use his true last name, why?
Also at age 50, he is no longer hot to be abstracted by women unless old chicks 🙂
Because he is known by his professional name. Not weird. Hollywood does this all the time. At least he makes sure his child has his real surname.
Pretty sure whether it’s you or anyone else wouldn’t be attractive either when you reach 50 years old.
