Bosco Wong Fulfills Dream of Becoming Chef
After testing the waters by opening a bar in Malaysia two years ago, Bosco Wong (黃宗澤) is ready to expand his business portfolio in Hong Kong. Bosco was photographed scouting for retail space for his new $3 million HKD oyster bar.
After 3 busy months of filming in Hengdian for Young Sherlock <少年神探狄仁杰>, Bosco took a few days break in Malaysia before heading back to Hong Kong yesterday for Shell’s Stimulate New Fuel Driving Experience event. In Malaysia, Bosco has invested in a restaurant turned nightclub. Despite earlier rumors stating that Bosco Wong’s Malaysia restaurant was not doing well financially, Bosco claimed that it broke even after 2 months of its re-opening in December. Now that business is picking up there, Bosco has the intention to expand his business in Hong Kong even though the rental prices are more costly.
Aspires to Be Chef
Bosco caught the attention of the media when he was spotted with his business partner and a real estate agent in Central, Hong Kong recently. The trio was seen checking over seven retail spaces in the area. Bosco expressed interest in opening an oyster bar, and admitted he is currently looking for retail space for the purpose. However, the pragmatic actor thinks the property prices are too high, so he is currently only looking to rent a shop space.
Bosco said, “My childhood dream is to be a chef so I want to open a restaurant that serves western seafood. I will also personally design some dishes on the menu.” Fully motivated, Bosco hopes to be able to have a shop space by June so that he can focus on his business fully.
In related news, Hong Kong celebrities were shaken over the death of singer, Sita Chan (陳僖儀), who had died in a car crash. Though Bosco loves his cars, he is extremely careful when it comes to driving. Owning a couple of impressive high-performance cars, they are only used for his weekend drives. When he gets too tired from work on weekdays, he would get a driver to drive him.

He’s def the more self disciplined and matured the fastest among his peers at TVB, he’s a good guy it just sucks how ppl are giving him hate over the break up. Talent has nothing to do with personal matters, and he proved just that. He handles his personal affairs well.
I like Bosco too and he has definitely become more matured after that heartwrenching breakup with MW. People blamed him for everything….so he has a slight fault but then who is perfect ??He has always had a head for future investments compared to some of the other siusangs at tvb.
I wish him well in his business venture and hope to visit his oyster bar next time I’m in HKG.

Both Ron and Bosco suffered negative press last year. Although the evidence for Ron’s cheating occurred, Bosco seemed to be more battered by the speculative reports. Fans hated to see Myolie hurt.
Although Bosco and Ron have remained low-profile to escape the judgmental HK press, their careers didn’t experience any setbacks in mainland China. Both have filmed high profile projects in China after their scandals and both actors’ popularity will likely increase this year when their series are broadcast.

A lot of celebrities are throwing money into sea by investing restaurant but eventually closing down. WOuld rather become restaurant ambassador rather that having business yourself. Hope he is really doing his business.
