Raymond Lam Will Not Publicly Announce Marriage Plans
Raymond Lam (林峯) made a quick stop in Hong Kong to attend a fashion store opening in Sha Tin yesterday. The 33-year-old has been busy filming 3D wuxia series Detectives and Doctors <陸小鳳與花滿樓> in mainland China, and is set to film nowTV’s The First Empress <大漢賢后衛子夫> with TVB colleague Niki Chow (周麗淇 ). At the event, Raymond debunked rumors about his deal with nowTV, and was hush about his relationship with girlfriend Karena Ng (吳千語). When pressed, Raymond insisted that he will keep personal matters private, and stated he has no desire to share his marriage plans with the public.
Raymond dressed casually at the event, appearing in a light blue blazer, white shorts, and a matching navy blue sweater. Reporters teased that he seemed to have gained weight. Raymond admitted, “We film for long hours in mainland. I am also filming an ancient series so I had to eat carbs to make sure I have the energy. Also, the local food is pretty greasy so I have gotten a little bit fatter.”
Earlier, reports claimed that TVB executive Virginia Lok (樂易玲) originally negotiated a $20 million RMB contract for Raymond to film nowTV’s The First Empress. Due to his friendship with series director and former TVB producer Lau Ka Ho (劉家豪), Raymond allegedly agreed to take a pay cut and signed on to film the series for just $10 million RMB. When asked to confirm the rumors, Raymond replied, “nowTV invested into that series, and my company accepted the offer on my behalf. We will begin filming soon… My company negotiated the price. We have been discussing the opportunity and we were ready to accept the deal as long as the terms are satisfactory. I am sure the company has already considered all the factors, such as my work schedule. I am happy [about the deal] because I have worked with Ka Ho Gor before. I have read the script and am very confident in my role in the series.”
Reporters then commented that he will have even less time to spend with Karena once filming begins. Raymond thanked them for their concern and refused to discuss further. When asked if he would follow Moses (陳豪) and Aimee Chan’s (陳茵媺) example and consider a shot gun wedding, Raymond said, “We all have an idea of what we should do at each stage of our lives. I would like to do well in my career in my current stage.” Raymond added he has always liked children and enjoys family life, but for now he will focus on his work. Asked if he will announce his marriage, Raymond believes marriage is a personal matter between two people, and has no plans to involve the public.

I always had a lot of respect and admiration for Jayne of Jaynestars, and my respect level for her just went through the roof. She is indeed a very gracious and patient lady to put up with this multi name woman for so long.
Yes Siying, I am happy too. The threats, the ill will. the bullying this site and insulting us and holding us siege had gone too far. the threats and crazy ramblings to Raymond and Karena had grown out of hand. Then to be insulting Jayne, Cursing her out and questioning Jaynes integrity was totally out of line. If I were Jayne, I would delete EVERY post that was made by Ray hater at all the threads, even the ones she made under different names and avators. that way, wvweyone will know just how destructive this woman is, and they will know just how many monikers she had. If I were Jayne, before deleting these posts, I would save tem, just in case she is crazy enough, and she is, to threaten legal action. She and her many names should be banned from Jaynestars as well.
She might try to use the neighbours computer, or the library computer to log on, but Jayne should keep a navigation tab on the areas of where these IP addresses are, and she will know that it is her worming her way back on to Jaynestars.

Take korean idols for example, they got fans in Cuba? Given it’s not as hyped but definitely still a fan base there. I have no idea how obsessed non-asians fans are of Asian celebs but anything is possible.

I know some non-asians do follow asian entertainment (thought not very common), but what I meant was that there is NO WAY they would follow TVB entertainment considering that it is dying. The same thing goes to HK music. If they follow k-pop, japanese anime or chinese movies, then I would not be surprised, but the fact that they follow TVB dramas that makes me surprised…
…and another thing that I want to know is that why Trini assumed that the girl was a non-asian (I don’t know whether you can answer this for Trini). I mean, how could Trini know she was non-asian just by analyzing what the girl wrote. Logically, it would be asian (mostly chinese but japanese and korean could be as well) because only east asian female fans become crazy when their idols date someone else. I don’t really see others are that although there are exceptions. Just look at Hollywood, when their idols date someone, nobody cares. The same thing goes to black people in Hollywood. Even when artists in south east asia date someone, female fans don’t act like that.

She had a lot of aliases at every Asian forum and she went wild. Members were afraid to post because of her. She even cursed celebs who said anything suggesting that this idol was involved with his honey. She wanted him for herself, and had a shrine in her apartment dedicated to him. She had diaries of how she and Mr Handsome will live out their lives. She was planning on killing his honey. She is banned from going to two Asian countries at least. She is also banned from coming to Canada. My naughty cousin posted a police station email and she wrote my cousin and threatened to kill her, her husband and anyone who got in her way. Of course she got busted and she did not spend jail time but was put on probation and was banned from computers for a long time, wearing a bracelet of course.
this woman is white American with a mix of Latino. May,here is another shock for you. One of my cousins is married to a lovely young lady from Tinidad, she is black, my cousin is Chinese. My family loves her. Wifey ad I love her, hence my thread name Trini.Tthere are people who are non Chinese and non Asian who are enjoying the tv dramas and movies. They watch dramas online with English subs. Oh, okay. Thanks for telling me. Actually, I am just a little bit surprised when there are non-asians followers in TVB. I mean, asian artists are not Tom Cruiseor Brad Pitt, after all. But then again, 7 billions people in this world, right? There will always be a minority. I agree with you that they want to meet asian artists, which I believe including female artists such as Jolin Tsai, A-Mei, Joey Yung, Dennis Ho, S.H.E, etc.
May, everyone is not Tom Cruise or Brad Pitt, and you know what……. THANK GOD. They are not the only actors out there in the world. If you are Asian, especially Chinese, well thank you for the little faith you have in our artists They may not be Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie, but there is always be a North American market, big or small, that will cater to other entertainment outside of American cinema and music. Is that so hard for you to accept?. You need to get over your “surprised” state.
