“Bachelors at War” Contestant Denies Being a Rapist
Rocky, a contestant on TVB’s dating game show Bachelors at War <求愛大作戰> is making major headlines in the Hong Kong media for his mysterious and controversial past. It is reported that the 29-year-old Rocky, a financial planner, was involved in a rape case in 2009.
According to Apple Daily, a rich girl was raped in the bathroom of a pub during the late night, early morning on December 26, 2009. After discussing the incident with her parents, she filed a police report. A few days later, an auxiliary police by the surname of Wong confessed to the authorities at the Tsim Sha Tsui Police Station. He was later released on bail.
As seen on his Facebook, 29-year-old Rocky graduated from an auxiliary police training class in August 2008. The dedicated fitness enthusiast also admitted that he has a love for drinking. Being a friend of the victim, Rocky did not deny his involvement in the case, but he clarified later in an interview that he just a witness.
On June 18, Rocky updated a status on his Facebook, which read, “I am a rapist lol” (He wrote the word ‘rapist’ backwards in Chinese).
A source spilled that although Rocky denied being the rapist, he confessed to a friend through the WhatsApp texting app. Rocky explained to his friend that the sex was consensual and the girl also encouraged it by seducing him. However, he did not specify if he was legally charged with rape.
In a phone interview, Rocky said, “Innocence will eventually be cleared. If I am qualified to appear on [Bachelors at War], that means [the rape] never happened. I stress again that I was only involved as a witness to aid investigation. I don’t know who revealed this information. I really don’t want the girl to be affected.”

Being a witness vs the rapist is a huge difference. It happened in 2009 but all it says was “He was later released on bail.” So what happened after that?
Don’t think he said he was a witness rather he said he was “helping/cooperating with the investigation.” Which to me means, the sex did occur, the girl accused Rocky, the police took action, but the case was dropped for whatever reason since Rocky didn’t want to further comment. Basically, by law, he is not a rapist.
TVB must have started a special acting category and this guy can be the head of the pack.

Lol now that you mentioned it, ya, I think so, but i think Kent Cheng looks like Doraemon. Clean, harmless, at times can be quite funny. Rocky here, just looks , you know… Hurhurhur.
Kent Cheng has a sweeter and friendlier look than this dude. Kent gives out a sweet aura that makes him seem like a kind person. But this dude does not and creeps me out.. It is not just physical looks, but what kind of charm or aura do you give out? I feel in some cases that is more important than physical looks. I have seen very attractive people give out really bad aura which scares people.
Are you kidding me? Hell no, this guy ain’t no Kent Cheng! Like HTS and Siying said, Kent gives off a sweet, friendly vibe (he always gave me the impression of being a big teddy bear whom you just want to reach out and hug….but I actually like Siying’s Doraemon reference better – it’s more in line with Kent’s “Fat Cat” persona…LOL), whereas this Rocky dude is just downright scary and ugly –looking.

After watching the last episode with my aunt (who I no longer consider the greatest critic I know), remember how I said the contestants were legit? Well, I’d like to retract that and say the pair that made it might be plants.
Who would sing in that breaking chicken-voice? That was just silly and unbelievable.
I think they needed ONE pair (out of the 4) to make it as to send the message out there that, hey, HK men aren’t losers and nice guys do get the girl at the end….even if it’s in the form of a ridiculous interview with tears and a silly song (which both seem scripted).
@dd: Well, not sure if you read the latest news reports, but one of the women on the show (I think her name is Vivien?) claims that everything was fake and scripted. She said she was lured by the promise of fame and money to participate in the show and that she actually already knew the guy she was paired with a long time ago, but had to pretend that she didn’t know him for the sake of the show.
Not sure if any of the stuff this girl says holds water or if she’s just trying to get some publicity….either way, I could care less, since I haven’t been watching the show anyway and these types of lame, so-called ‘reality’ shows aren’t my cup of tea….
Rocky just looks hideous. The episode when he was drunk and spewed rubbish in the dark room – that was a total turn off.
