Raymond Lam Celebrated Karena Ng’s Birthday with Handmade Gift
Romantic boyfriend Raymond Lam (林峯) chose to commemorate Karena Ng’s (吳千語) twentieth birthday with a thoughtful present. Although some believe that he has been spoiling Karena with expensive purchases, Raymond took a more sentimental route on October 27, giving her a do-it-yourself gift.
Since their romance became public in early 2013, Karena has been repeatedly blamed for using her relationship with Raymond to further her showbiz career. She is also portrayed by the media as greedy and materialistic, hungry for Raymond’s massive family fortune.
Raymond further fueled the accusations by openly indulging Karena with material goods. Shortly after their relationship was made public, the couple took several vacations around the globe, traveling around Asia, Europe, and the United States. When in Italy, Raymond reportedly gifted Karena a Hermès bag as an extravagant Valentine’s Day present. Later, Karena allegedly requested Raymond to purchase an $8 million HKD home. Although Karena denied these rumors, the press is adamant that money is a main reason behind her involvement with a man fourteen years her senior.
Upset with the fabricated reports, the couple issued a joint statement in August. Not only did they deny the heavily rumored marriage plans, the two also emphasized that they keep their spending separate. To this day, Raymond continues to shield Karena from her harsh critics. At a promotional event on November 6, Raymond responded to rumors that he had given Karena $8 million HKD in cash on her birthday, saying, “Seriously? Give [the money] to me, I want it too!”
He also denied reports claiming that he has given her a car, though did not say no to its possibility. He feels that Karena can afford it on her own, and wants her to become more comfortable behind the wheel before putting money down on a major purchase.

Thats cute. This guy got the money and he wants a girlfriend. How hard can that be? I really like ray lam but my bf has to call him a goldfish man. i say he can date whoever he wants and why does he need to care what other people say…he can even date an older woman if he wants
I am LF’s super fans too…I am happy for him that he is dating…it is nothing wrong to date with a young girl…I support LF as long as he continue work hard…has good product (songs, drama, movie…)…it is nothing wrong to date in his age. Best Wishes to them!

I think it’s not ok giving too many expensive gifts to his girlfriend.
If she’s a girl with a little bit dignity, she would feel bad getting expensive gift from a boyfriend who is richer and has more success than her. If it were me, i would feel not being respected. I think a self-made present is more romantic and shows me more that he loves me. Because money is something that he has got enough. Spending much money doesn’t mean so much for him. But if he makes sth himself, you can see the love and time he invested for you.
Well, but maybe karena isn’t so interested in rays love. Then she would prefer hermes and gucci and sth like that

this guy is such a tool, who cares what anyone thinks. he can gift his gf as many expensive gifts as he wants, why does he always say something about what he does n let them publicize what he does each time, he should just ignore them n say nothing at all.
