Sire Ma to Face the Public Before TVB Anniversary Awards
Currently on an involuntary hiatus as a result of her lesbian love scandal, Sire Ma (馬賽) will finally resurface this month before the TVB Anniversary Awards.
Sire’s squeaky clean image was blemished after her relationship with mainland Chinese film producer Wang Ziqi (汪子琦) was first exposed in early November. Local media revealed intimate photos taken during a summer vacation in Europe, and alleged that Ziqi had paid for Sire’s entire travel expenses, fueling speculations about a romantic relationship. Sire strongly denied these claims, saying that everything was taken out of context and that time will reveal the truth.
The next day, video footage of Sire and Ziqi’s passionate kiss made its rounds online. Their steamy rendezvous in Shanghai became solid proof that the two are definitely more than just friends. The public began to ruthlessly criticize Sire, calling her a liar and attacking her on Weibo. TVB executive Virginia Lok (樂易玲) stepped in and ordered Sire to take a two-month break while they make plans to salvage her reputation. Later, Laura Lee, a travel companion and Ziqi’s former girlfriend, openly called Sire a traitor, saying that she stole Ziqi before her very eyes. This latest allegation caused many to believe that Sire will be frozen by her company. She has also lost several endorsement deals as a result of her shocking scandal.
With a management contract still in place, TVB is testing to see if Sire is still a worthy investment. On December 4, Ms. Lok shared that she has met with an emotional Sire and her mother, and revealed plans for Sire to return to the public sometime this month to personally address questions regarding the scandal. “We talked about scheduling public appearances for her to meet everyone, but not a press conference. Since she is nominated for the Anniversary Awards, we will schedule her return as soon as possible.”
Ms. Lok emphasized once again that Sire is not being frozen, and that the company respects its artists’ private lives. “Any child can become willful and make mistakes. As long as she does not do evil or commit any crimes, we will give her a second chance.”

I hope this public appearance won’t be about her admitting doing anything “wrong” in her personal relationship. People have been so cruel to her.
When she lied, technically she was only trying to protect herself from the harsh society.

Nobody Should care about HER PERSONAL BUSINESS like seriously would you like if if somebody knew yours! You have the right to love whatever gender you want. It should not effect her Award nominations. Anyways people should just shut up about this. Many famous people are Lesbian/Gay. I should have wrote this way before but I didn’t read that one and I thought it wasn’t a big shocker.
In a more progressive society, this wouldn’t even be a story. How sad for the parties involved.

Being a public figure she should have foreseen the consequences when she acted in such an intimate manner with another person in the public. HK tabloids are known for their sensationalism and for them to get hold of Sire’s photos with someone of the same sex is like winning the lottery. Some of HK artists have kept their same sex relationships undercover and will only come out the closet at an appropriate time, usually alone and the public still ont know who their partners are.

Ahhh again what a blunder by 620. She fails yet again at PR. She is not helping Sire because she said Sire is willful and made mistakes. Doesn’t this mean she disapprove of what Sire is doing? Is she disapproving her lesbian relationship or that she was a 3rd party in a lesbian relationship?
Come on 620. Shout it out Shout it out how much you love Kevin and Raymond and we know your true feelings.

Yeah 620 needs to go for PR training 101. There’s nothing wrong with Sire’s sexual preference and having a girlfriend. In fact if TVB would like to modernise, 620 should capitalise on having a lesbian under TVB management, openly proud of it!
What 620 should advise Sire is to come out openly and admit her sexual preference. But Sire should also openly state that she made the mistake for lying, apologise for lying and explain why she lied previously.
Perhaps TVB should come out with some Lesbian-themed dramas with Sire starring in them.
Agree with that. There are millions of fans waiting for lesbian movies. I don’t understand why TVB cannot catch this opportunity to promote Sire Ma.
Perhaps someone might send this feedback to TVB, who is requesting viewers’ comments.
They should expand fully into gay-themed dramas, not limited only to lesbians. Just think of the on-screen magic that might be created by potential couples like LF and Ron Ng, Kevin Cheng and Chilam Cheung, etc.

THE REASON THAT SHE LIED IS TO PROTECT HER AND HER FAMILY. IT DOESN’T EVEN MATTER THAT IT’S THE 21ST CENTURY IF THE PEOPLE WHO WERE BORN IN THE 20TH CENTURY ARE STILL ALIVE TODAY. Wtf is wrong with TVB? I mean gosh what’s the big deal? To “freeze her for 2 months” because she’s a homosexual is very STUPID! If you ask me. Be more open about such circumstances for the love of god.
^Agree! Some Hollywood A lists come out of the wardrobe and you dont see them being taken off screen or anything. Yeah sure they would be on the front cover page of the newspaper.
