2014 Miss Chinese International Pageant to Be Held on January 26
The 2014 Miss Chinese International Pageant, hosted by TVB, will be officially held in Hong Kong on January 26, 2014. Sixteen delegates from various cities and countries around the world will be competing for the international crown.
On January 7, events manager Ho Siu Wai (何小慧) – including 2013 Miss Hong Kong winner Grace Chan (陳凱琳), first runner-up Sisley Choi (蔡思貝), second runner-up Moon Lau (劉佩玥), Miss Friendship Tiffany Ou Yang (歐陽巧瑩), and 2013 Miss Chinese International winner Gloria Tang (鄧佩儀) – attended a press conference lighting ceremony for the upcoming pageant. In honor of the passing of TVB founder Sir Run Run Shaw (邵逸夫), the attendees dressed in dark colors. The toast ceremony was also canceled.
Grace Chan will be Hong Kong’s only delegate in the international competition. In mid-January, the remaining delegates will arrive in Hong Kong to diligently prepare for the pageant via performance training and location shootings. The ceremony will also be broadcasted live in Hong Kong through TVB’s channels.
Meanwhile, Grace will also be preparing for her debut acting role in the upcoming TVB drama Trade Wars <商戰>, a modern thriller that stars Wayne Lai (黎耀祥). Sisley, who was also cast in Trade Wars, is currently filming comedy drama Ox Head Loves Horse Mouth <牛頭愛搭馬嘴>, starring opposite Fred Cheng (鄭俊弘).

Umm… I don’t think Gloria Tang can win again if she’s already won it last year.

Btw, I just watched the pageant and I am shocked at how thin and light Grace Chan is! She doesn’t look like that on camera, seriously. I’m surprised she’s picked. Not a very healthy projection for a beauty queen, but I guess her looks gave her the winner.
She has intelligence and is a deserving winner.
