Ox Head Loves Horse Mouth <牛頭愛搭馬嘴> costars Joey Meng (萬綺雯) and Johnson Lee’s (李思捷) rumors do not appear to be ending any time soon. Immediately bonding on set, Joey and Johnson were always seen together on and off camera, whether it was going to work in the morning or eating a meal at night. Johnson admitted that he liked Joey a lot, and a source claimed that he was attracted to her.
Joey, married to scriptwriter Chan Sap Sam (陳十三) for nearly fourteen years, also appeared to be very close to Johnson. Though Joey denied romantic rumors with Johnson, reports claim that Chan Sap Sam is not very pleased with the gossip, and has demanded Joey to stay clear of Johnson outside filming hours. It was said that Joey and her husband had got in a big fight over the matter, but Joey ultimately complied and decided to be more considerate when she was around Johnson.
In recent photos, Joey and Johnson distanced themselves as they were preparing for a shoot. However, as soon as the cameras stopped rolling, they would resume to their chatter and giggles. Johnson was also seen flirting with Joey by showing off his magic tricks and Michael Jackson dance moves to her.
However, Joey once again denied the gossip claims. She admitted that she felt a bit uncomfortable by the unfounded reports and said, “My husband has comforted me. He said they’re at least better than discord rumors!” Asked if she would report to her husband if she had to film any intimate scenes, Joey said, “There’s no need to. Johnson and my husband do talk privately. They are friends.” She added that there is no need to avoid Johnson because the gossip reports were not true.
Johnson did not bother to hide his admiration for Joey and said, “I am not a 20-year-old kid anymore. I don’t need to maintain an image. If I tell you that I do not react to pretty girls, no one would believe me!”
