Wong Cho Lam Will Wed Leanne Li Within Three Years
Although Wong Cho Lam (王祖藍) and Leanne Li (李亞男) have both denied any marriage plans, the two seem to have set a personal goal to marry each other within the next three years.
Speculations about their marriage surfaced after Cho Lam was rumored to have invested over $13 million HKD on a local property. While he admitted to making the purchase, he clarified that it has nothing to do with marrying Leanne, and summed it up as a “long-term housing solution”. When pressed to discuss further, Cho Lam stated marriage is unlikely to happen any time soon due to his busy schedule. He added that he will not have a flash marriage, assuring that he will take his time to plan out his future with his long-time love.
Despite their casual attitudes, Cho Lam and Leanne may have already agreed to a possible time frame. At a promotional event for his comedy Gilded Chopsticks <食為奴> on February 25, Cho Lam shared that he will marry Leanne within the next three years. With his current drama pulling in thirty-point ratings and ranking in the top ten in Mainland China, he will definitely see plenty of opportunities that will allow him to pad his wedding fund.
Both devout Christians and filial children, the couple is concerned that their parents would mistake media speculations as the truth, and are in a rush to clarify the baseless gossips. Cho Lam once again emphasized that he and Leanne have no plans to tie the knot this year, contrary to earlier reports. With 2014 looking to be a good harvest year for Cho Lam, the couple may be looking to boost their careers further before settling down. Cho Lam will begin shooting Inbound Troubles 2 <老表，你好Hea!> in April, which Leanne will also star as his on-screen girlfriend.
