“The Suspicious” Releases Hot Bath Scene Stills of Joe Chen and Alec Su
New hot photo stills have been released for the mainland Chinese thriller The Suspicious <最佳嫌疑人>, and all eyes are on Joe Chen (陳喬恩).
In the new photos, Joe Chen, affectionately known as Taiwan’s idol drama queen, shed her innocent image by baring her back and throwing herself on top of costar Alec Su (蘇有朋) while the two share a hot bath together. The photos are suggestive, and Joe’s seductress role is described to be one of her biggest breakout roles to-date.
The Suspicious centers around a mysterious pharmaceutical company and its new drug that cures insomnia. The owner Li attempts to sell his company to a Japanese businessman, but the businessman only has eyes on the formula of his new drug.
Joe portrays An Qi’er, a senior secretary who strikes an ambiguous relationship with Lin Yitai, an insomniac general sales manager at the pharmaceutical company. Portraying an extremely cold, evil and manipulative character, Joe said she has finally fulfilled her wish to portray a completely different character from past roles.
The bath scene Joe and Alec shared in the film is intimate, but Joe said she did not feel awkward when she read that part of the script, but when it came to the first day of the shoot, Joe felt extremely nervous. “I had to kiss him first, and suddenly I didn’t know where I should start. Alec was very supportive and just told me to go ahead and do whatever I think is right.”

Joe Chen is an amazing actress… but she’s been talking with a somewhat squeaky voice lately and it’s kinda annoying since Joe Chen was fairly well-known for her straight-forward and ‘him’ personality.
