Nicholas Tse’s Ripped Jeans Last for 12 Years
Currently working on his travelogue food program Chef Nic < 12道鋒味>, Nicholas Tse (謝霆鋒) opened up an official Facebook page to closely interact with his fans in Hong Kong. His cooking show, which focuses on regional foods around the world with celebrity guests, has decided to do a special segment in Hong Kong this month.
A few days ago, Nicholas uploaded two videos of himself walking around Hong Kong while wearing a pair of washed-out jeans that were ripped at the buttocks. The holes in his pants clearly revealed his underwear. He asked the fans if they could remember where they last saw these jeans, and many replied that they remember Nicholas had worn those jeans when he made a special guest appearance at Eason Chan’s (陳奕迅) Hong Kong Coliseum concert in 2010.
These jeans, however, have a much longer history. In 2002, Nicholas was seen wearing those jeans while he was filming a program for TVB. In 2003, Nicholas wore the same jeans while performing for the 1:99 Concert – fundraiser concert for victims of the SARS outbreak – at the Hong Kong Stadium. These pairs of jeans have managed to withstand the test of time and remained unscathed for more than 12 years.
On June 29, Nicholas will be holding a special eggette-making event with Eason Chan at Victoria Park.

It doesn’t matter what he wears underneath. That’s just gross, disgusting, not cool. A rip here and there, even some fraying in the buttocks is okay. I live in the states, and it’s normal to see guys running around in worn out jeans, but not to the extent of being repulsive. Ewww!

is this what Nic is trying to set fashion new trend-setter for the dare guys? if we notice someone wear that style on streets , it means Nic has successfully set a trend of fashion for us to follow….
Maybe Nic is hinting us that for this past 12 years he still able to wear that same jean indeed without putting on much weight then and now, especially when he is doing food program…wonder is that year 2002 is Faye-Nic year too?

At least, this is “marginally” better than having the waist fall “all the way” down to the upper thighs and guys must constantly pull their pants up. haha 🙂

Yup, he’s Nicholas Tse, he’s the young and famous entrepreneur that gave the most impressive speech at the HKUST. It’s disgusting but his fans don’t think so and would love the soiled undies for souvenir. LOL! 😀
Exactly! That’s what I meant by “showing some class.” You would think that with all he’s accomplished so far, he’sd know better to run around dressed like that. There are people who wear frayed & ripped jeans in a tasteful manner and then there are those who look like crap in jeans that expose too much.
No doubt celebrity fashion will have a huge impact on young fans. Some ten, fifteen years ago, a musician/ rapper decided to wear his jeans exposing the top half of his underwear (and maybe those Calvin Klein underwear ads had something to do with it, too.) Next thing you know young men across the states were walking around with their slouchy jeans pulled halfway down, frayed, soiled hems and all. Us girls would joke about these “see foo”, which is what could translated as “crap pants.” LOL!

With that 2 massive holes, I don’t think that classify as “lasting” :0 just because you can wear it, doesn’t mean it last lol >_< I know it depend on the wearer's definition of lasting, but come on now :p 2 big holes on your butt should not be "lasting" :p

i know right. what’s a big deal of a 12 years old jeans. Jeans does last long esp when he only wore it once a year. He has no news therefore they just write whatever, lol
