Secret Return of Kenneth Ma in “Tiger Cubs 2”
Airing on October 19, Tiger Cubs 2 <飛虎Ⅱ> will feature well-known TVB artistes as villains. Although Tiger Cubs 2 has an extensive cast list already, producer Lam Chi Wah (林志華), announced that Kenneth Ma (馬國明) also makes a cameo in the drama.
Lam Chi Wah disclosed, “A lot of actors signed up for the sequel because they thought it would be fun to take part. Kenneth really wanted to film too, but he had to work on Ghost Dragon of Cold Mountain <寒山潛龍> in China. To fulfill his wishes, we’ll be editing him into a shot.
“The script this time is rich in content. It doesn’t matter if it’s an SDU member or a criminal – they all have descriptive backgrounds. Besides firing bullets, there’s a psychological side to the story. One of the cases talks about the brotherly bond between the SDU members.”
Tiger Cubs 2 aims to maximize its realistic feel by including real guns and bullets during one of their action scenes. To ensure that the audience gets the most out of watching Tiger Cubs 2, TVB used its high-tech cameras for increased realism. In one episode, Johnson Lee (李思捷) planned to avenge his triad brothers by occupying the High Court in Hong Kong. Threatening the members of the law society, the SDU team is employed to stop Johnson’s rampage. During the scene, none of the equipment used were props – the fight between SDU and Johnson relied completely on the use of real guns and bullets!
Urging the audience members to tune in and support SDU, Joe Ma (馬德鐘) expressed, “I think the audience is rational and understands that the show itself is only for entertainment purposes. In reality, the filming process is very difficult and everyone put in a lot of effort. I hope everyone will support us. It would be a shame if the reception is affected.”

Real guns and real bullets…which may be true but the small caliber types with adpaters to minimize damage and injuries just in case. Come to think of it, no studios use real ammo unless there the “targets” are not human but life size dummies or lots of cut footage and editing to make it look like a real fire fight.
wouldn’t real guns cost more than props?
Wow!!! Lol
