Myolie Wu Receives Red Roses from Mr. Right
Professing that she is ready to enter a new relationship earlier, Myolie Wu (胡杏兒) has not had a shortage of admirers. She received a large bouquet of red roses from a mysterious Mr. Right today.
Myolie was spotted at the Hong Kong airport boarding a flight to Singapore to promote her period comedy, Lady Sour <醋娘子>. Before Myolie even checked in at the airline counter, a staff member handed Myolie a bouquet of roses. Attached to the bouquet was a large card that read, “Lady Sour, Myolie will break viewership ratings! It’ll become an international sensation! – Mr. R”
Appearing very surprised, Myolie’s first guess at the mysterious “Mr.R” was her co-star, Ron Ng (吳卓羲). Myolie said, “I’m very surprised, but he is not that nice. Or maybe it’s from my girlfriends and they’re just joking. No [I’m not dating], it’s not true. I’m very touched by this, but it would be better without this card.”
Although Myolie stressed her single status, the actress revealed she has met some new friends lately. However, any further development will have to wait as she has a hectic schedule over the holidays.
Nancy Wu Doesn’t Think “Mr. R” is Ron Ng
Myolie’s good friend, Nancy Wu (胡定欣) , was asked who the mysterious “Mr. R” may be. Nancy said, “I really want to know who he is. Myolie has been getting a lot of flowers lately and I don’t think they’re from Ron Ng. Mr. R means Mr. Right. Let me ask her about it and help her evaluate him. I hope she can find a good partner and have children soon. That way, she won’t have to stick to us all the time.”

I happened to be at the mall yesterday…had a glimpse of myolie…she is pretty…can afford to put on some weight.
Physically, yes she can afford to put on some weight. Realistically, no she can’t afford to put on some weight because then the media will start dubbing her ‘chubby’ and this cannot happen to an actress if she wants to stay popular.
I think Myolie should gain some weight. She is very tall and too bony (esp. around her shoulders). an extra 10 lb. won’t hurt her at all.

My UK female class-mates will make her look short. The tallest 3 girls in my class stand at 1.81m, 1.88m and 1.91m – all with super long lower legs and not long body. These 3 friends are a shoo in for Super Models whose stipulation is that girl must stand 1.75m without heels and hair flatten (no bee hive buns, et al).

Don’t forget Myolie Wu is Hong Kong Chinese. She is not white. 1.71m (=5’7+”) is considered very tall for a female Chinese, especially if she wants to have a Chinese husband. In filming, it is hard to find a Chinese actor who is taller than 1.87m (approx. 6’2)”. If Myolie wears 5+” high-heeled shoes, she will easily be taller than her male partner in a drama series.
When I discuss matters like height or looks with my UK friends (and North American friends, depending where I am), we just comment based on the person, not the person’s nationality.
I am generous in giving credit where it’s due which in this case being that my 3 female friends are extremely tall vis-à-vis someone whose height is only 1.71m. A UK friend joked that these girls are short for a very short time (when they were growing up).
An Asian Chinese friend candidly commented that her own complexion with makeup on “can never be as pretty as theirs which is naturally pink and devoid of makeup”.
This same Asian friend chanced to see a photo of my Finnish guy friend (staying in same hostel as I) and gushed, “So gorgeous! He’s so handsome!” I was like, “Huh?” and she replied, “It takes a woman to judge that a guy is handsome”. She made the compliment based on the guy’s looks, not his nationality.
It’s all a matter of perception based on one’s upbringing and the amount of exposure to different nationalities.
I shall not be commenting further on this matter.

It might be Ron Ng. But it would be funny for Bosco ex to be Ron’s girlfriend and maybe wife one day if they get together.

True but wouldn’t that apply to all artists as well as the average citizen? I remember that one photo where she had either little or no make up and she looked not just plain but even a bit below average. But it does not only apply to her.
Probably I have not seen many artists without makeup. However, I have seen many look better than Myolie Wu is without make-up.
Myolie Wu looks very average in term of pretty but she shows some unique look when she gets her makeup on.
Myolie is average looking, but she has a good sense of fashion. When she wears makeup and dresses fashionably, she looks very stylish and different. Not every artiste has a good fashion taste.
