Karena Ng (吳千語) and Raymond Lam’s (林峯) relationship often headlines tabloid reports. Apart from their 14-year gap, the couple also has a large disparity in their careers. While Raymond is successful in television, film, and music, Karena’s movies have largely flopped at the box office.
Signing with Raymond Wong Pak Ming‘s (黃百鳴) Pegasus Entertainment for an 11-year contract, 21-year-old Karena starred in numerous films over the last four years. While the majority were supporting roles, Karena did lead in Fighting Angels <青春鬥> opposite Jeremy Tsui (徐正曦) and Alex Lam (林德信). However, the movie earned a meager $204,000 HKD at the box office. Baby Blues 3D <詭嬰> pulled slightly higher box office sales at $699,000 HKD.
With her films performing poorly, Karena seems to be on her way to replace Cecilia Cheung (張栢芝) as box office poison. Even Raymond Lam admitted to not having watched Karena’s movies!
However, Raymond remained supportive of his girlfriend. “I believe that the only thing an actor can take responsibility for is to portray the role well. As her boyfriend, I’ve witnessed how she is with work and her acting skills. It is important to pay close attention and to rehearse a lot. The most important thing for an actor is to continuously improve his/her acting skills.”

Lam Fung is not her sugar daddy. He is still young in his 30’s and the girl is a grown-up. A daddy should be a lot older, like in his 50’s (or around there) if the girl is over 21.

Other than A Step Into The Past, his characters were all similar. Or maybe it was just how he pprtrayed them. They all deel like the same character to me. And he plays such weak and clingy guy characters in dramas I’m starting to wonder if he is like that in real life. Not to mention, he did plastic surgery.

White Snake. Can claim that Jet Li has a part in it but LF is still male lead. 3D Baby Blues is not successful in HK but in China, it is in top 10 box office of horror movie since 2000.

The girl is really bad at acting, she always have this constipation and confuse looking expression. Plus when it comes to emotional scenes, she couldn’t even cry right. I’ve seen her in one of the comedy movie with ronald cheng and i had to fast forward because of her. I suggest her to go do something else because obviously she has no skill beside being knowly most as Raymond’s girlfriend

Once upon a time, Raymond or Karena claimed she was an independent woman who paid for her own designer bags, house, car etc = nothing whatsoever to do with gold-digging.
And now it emerges her movies are of this calibre.
Even as box office poison, she is still approached to act in movies. And the directors still pay her. Her income also comes from being in shows, spokenperson, functions, etc. Reported that she is paid 100,000 HKD per function which is more than some top TVB actresses. Those actresses can pay for appartments and luxury clothes, why can’t the higher paid Karena?
I’m not surprised. How many of us would have even heard of her if it wasn’t for her boyfriend? She is famous because of who she is dating so that’s all she is known for not her acting skills.
