Karena Ng Unprepared for Valentine’s Day; Raymond Lam is Sick with Flu
Although Valentine’s Day is this week, Karena Ng (吳千語) has not prepared a gift for Raymond Lam (林峯) yet. Instead, she is pondering what soups she can prepare for him so he can quickly recover from the flu.
Recently, Raymond was spotted wearing a face mask while driving his car. Careful not to transmit the virus to his girlfriend, Raymond has vowed not to kiss Karena nor hold her hand. When they eat meals together, they make sure to use a separate pair of chopsticks to serve the food.
The couple’s precautions are due to anxiety over the recent number of influenza-related deaths from a mutated form of the virus H3N2, which has risen to 164 deaths in Hong Kong since yesterday.
Karena is extremely worried about Raymond, who has been sick for more than a week. She said, “It’s been extremely unstable! Once he recovers, he gets sick again. His health is poor!” Due to Raymond’s flu, reporters asked whether Karena has been taking care of him. “I would see if there is any soup. But while some people say [porridge] is good for you, others say it makes it worse! Chinese people say it’s bad to eat chicken, but Westerners say it’s good to eat chicken. I’m not even sure anymore!”
While the couple maximizes their time together on their days off, it will be sometime before their next romantic getaway. Karena will be heading to the United States to film for a television series. She said, “This is my first time filming a series so far away. I’m really looking forward to it, and hope to be able to enjoy the local attractions at the same time.”
Karena added, “Raymond and I hope to the go the Maldives for vacation, but we’re very busy. It may be six months before we can go.”

If cough with phlegm, avoid sweet fruits that create phlegm citrus fruits, apple. Cold drinks, cooling vegetables, cooling drinks like herbal tea, tea. Heaty, spicy, deep fried food will irritate throat.
Abstain till cough recover. It’s not hassle nor complicated as there are tons of other food choices in today 2015. Otherwise time taken to consume TCM prescriptions blame as no effect.

Qc does not need to be a doctor or pharmacist to know that. It is common knowledge, especially around Chinese societies, and most people know it. If youngsters don’t, their parents should know.
Chinese new year is a period many tend to fall sick because of the cookies and other food not usually eaten. although I am not a doctor, I feel QC’s advice is worth listening.
