Zhang Ziyi, Eddie Peng Pair Up in New Romantic Film
Directed by five directors and consisting of five different love stories that take place in five different countries, Crying Out Love in the Center of the World <在世界的中心呼唤爱> features one of the most star-studded cast in a Chinese film.
The film features five romances that take place in the United States, Norway, Japan, Australia, and Turkey. The five short stories are directed by directors Zhang Meng (张猛), Teng Huatao (滕华涛), Zhang Yibai (张一白), Gao Qunshu (高群书), and Guan Hu(管虎), respectively. Zhang Meng’s story already completed its filming in November 2014 in the United States.
The film consists of an all-star cast, including Zhang Ziyi (章子怡), Eddie Peng (彭于晏), Ni Ni (倪妮), Michelle Chen (陈妍希), Wang Qianyuan (王千源), Tang Wei (汤唯), Ethan Juan (阮经天), Zhang Xinyi (张歆艺), Liang Jing (梁静), Huang Lei (黄磊), and Liu Ye (刘烨). Ziyi and Eddie’s love story, which takes place in Japan and directed by Zhang Yibai, wrapped up filming earlier this month. Teng Huatao’s story, which stars Michelle Chen (陈妍希), is currently shooting in Norway.
The film’s title shares the same name as the 2004 Japanese romantic film starring Masami Nagasawa (長澤雅美), which was based on a 2001 Japanese melodrama novel Socrates in Love. However, it is not confirmed if the two films are related.

I love Eddie and like Zhang Ziyi, looking forward to this. I hope the love stories are good. It’s been awhile since I’ve seen a good romantic movie.
