Ending Spoilers for Relics of An Emissary
Currently in the midst of being broadcast in Hong Kong, the story of Relics of An Emissary <洪武三十二> was set in the Ming Dynasty and revolves around Brocade Guard, Ngo Siu Fung (Michael Tse) who had amnesia. The series follows how Siu Fung and Sam Po (Sammul Chan) assist Zhu Di (Joe Ma) to the throne. Michael was indecisive among three beautiful women: Kate Tsui, Elanne Kong, and Sire Ma. Last week’s ratings increased by 1 point to 26 points, with nearly 1.64 million people watching. Next week, the finale will be broadcast; let’s disclose four key points to the ending in advance!
During the time he had amnesia, Michael befriended Joel Chan’s character, Emperor Kin Man. Michael was shocked to discover he was a fatal warrior trained by Joe Ma. After Joe seized the throne, Michael handed Joel over to Joe and decided to turn his life around. Despite having a one-night stand with Kate Tsui and protecting Sire Ma due to her illness, Michael loved Elanne Kong the most. Following Joe’s orders, Sammul pursued Michael and Elanne but decided to let the pair leave after witnessing Elanne’s willingness to sacrifice her life for Michael. Retiring in a small farm, Michael and Elanne got married. Sammul reported to Joe that Michael had died in combat and that Joel had disappeared at sea. Joe believed Sammul and ordered him to sail the seven seas to look for Joel. Sammul assumed the new name of Zheng He.

Jayne: A predictable but satisfying ending for all!
“Joe believed Sammul and ordered him to sail the seven seas to look for Joel. Sammul assumed the new name of Zheng He.”
Oh crap! For a moment I thought this series is different. Reminds me of A Step Into The Past. Oh puh-lease! Zheng He sailed the seven seas to look for that guy? PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Ok, now I am disappointed
Isn’t that history tho??
Zheng He indeed sailed the 7 Seas, but not to look for Joel’s character.
Funn was not disappointed that Zheng He sailed the 7 seas. Funn was disappointed with the reason given.
Just read the bio on the emperor. He was mad though wasn’t he? Or were those just “common people rumours”?
what a cheap low buget series, tvb is so tight, what good could do for any serious !? if I were a share holder I rather sell there shares
Actually I think it has always been a rumor that Zheng He went out to look for Jianwen. TVB didn’t make it up.
This was the story told in The Eyes of the Beholder where Savio wanted Tong Pak Fu to help search for Wei Dei grandchild. Joel was the Wei Dei that went into hiding.
Very disappointed that in the end its Michael-Elanne pairing
I wonder whats gonna happen to Kate and Sire in the end. Sammul’s ending seems very sad =(
Michael and Elanne is like a twenty year difference, I think it’s really weird how they ended up together, I liked Michael and Sire Ma better, eventhough I didn’t watch the entire series…Sammul’s ending, well it’s sad, but it’s history, he was an eunch…hehehehe
@Yee, Lol, so it’s okay for Michael and Sire to be together, but not Michael and Elanne because of the large age difference? Sire is only 2 months older than Elanne.
Actually, I find Sire’s acting very unnatural and the way she speaks is more annoying than Elanne’s voice. Michael and Elanne are cuter, but I think he likes Kate the most.
@Mabel, I didn’t think Sammul’s ending was sad as his dream to travel the 7 seas was granted. He even had Macy’s character accompany him on his journey. The two are quite cute together even though Sammul’s character is an eunuch and initially, I didn’t like Macy’s character. Later, she proved herself very loyal. 😀
I’m really happy that Michael and Elanne got together! I love the love story not necessarily the actors themselveS!
I found this show quite boring, probably because I’m not really a big fan of ancient/historical dramas. I wonder how the series will be like in acting-wise.
To be honest, I was quite sad that Kate Tsui’s Shum chin Sum’s character died, and she started playing the role of “cho cho,” I prefered her other role. I wonder how Kate’s character will end though. Btw, was Kate’s character a lead character? I felt she was more supporting than lead, didn’t felt like she had a lot of screen time although her character was very complex.
@star, She shared the lead with Elanne I suppose. I actually like how there’s not a set lead female or male actor/actress in here. It’s better to have a good script where the characters all share a significant amount of screen time to develop their characters to their potential.
It really made me wonder if Chor Chor’s character was even necessary for the plot. Initially, she fell in love with Ngo Siu Fung, but her subplot with him was never mentioned again and she never confessed to him that she loved him. Chor Chor seemed naive enough to love Siu Fung and Prince of Yin when she met both of them respectively. Did she love one over the other? And why?
Yeah i have the same feeling it would be a better story to cut the character Chor Chor altogether. Her character is pretty much useless no adding any value to the story.
