Myolie Wu Still Indecisive Over Contract Offers
Yet to renew her contract with TVB, Myolie Wu (胡杏兒) is speculated to be heading over to Stephen Shiu Jr.’s (蕭定一) company for a $25 million HKD three-year deal. However, Myolie denied having made any decisions and revealed she is still currently in the midst of deciding between offers.
Attending a car event for Infiniti yesterday, Myolie spoke about the factors that could affect her choice in choosing a management company. The 35-year-old said she is not getting younger and will have to consider aspects such as marriage. Myolie also denied that money would be the deciding factor, “Not everything is about money, especially because I’m not that young anymore, it’s more about development and looking at how my path will turn out.”
As to which company is better suited for her needs, Myolie admitted that she has discussed the issue with her boyfriend Philip Lee and has received valuable advice from him.
Although it is evident that Myolie’s chances of re-signing with TVB are slim, she was discreet in her response. “I don’t want to talk about a new relationship before the old one ends. In a nutshell, I haven’t signed with any company yet. There are going to be a lot of chances and new plans for this year.”

Myolie is looking gorgeous these days. I’m sure she had went under the knife to enhance her features as her chin looks more protrude than before. But can’t deny that she’s looking more beautiful now.
Agree. Myolie Wu looks pretty in the above photo. She knows how to dress well to bring out her features and figure.
It works even better if she knows how to bring out her acting more.
Sigh,seems like all “senior” actors are leaving the station…
Not a fan of Myolie at all, but at this point, leaving TVB is definitely the best option for her, whether it’s for better opportunities, more money, or just to finally break free from all the ridiculous restrictions. With the way TVB has been deteriorating in recent years, it’s better to jump ship as soon as possible rather than waiting until the ship sinks even further. Besides, most of the artists who left TVB the past couple years have done relatively well outside (some have made more money, some have gotten more recognition, some have gotten awards that they never would’ve gotten otherwise, some get to pursue their dreams and passions, etc.).
Also, after reading in the news today about the way TVB’s artists department treated Bobby AuYeung (one of their most popular veterans who is well-loved by audiences), throwing him aside like a piece of trash that they don’t need anymore, it makes my blood boil even more!
Some advice for Myolie and every one else who has been with TVB a long time: leave now with your dignity intact before you get told to your face that you don’t matter anymore and get shown the door….
I think TVB will focus on promoting newbies now. There is not much room to move around for those veterans. It may be hard to find partners for those veterans, such as Wayne Lai, Kevin Cheng (unless it is Grace Chan), Roger Kwok, etc.
@orchid123 KC has said recently that he might not sign management contract with TVB next year when the expiry comes.
@alluka I think Kevin Cheng has made a good decision if he does not sign any management contracts with TVB. It is hard to find a compatible (age and acting wise) partner to act with him as his lover/girlfriend. All the newbies left are so young …… under 30.
@orchid123 Grace Chan, LMAO~
