The released photos depict a scene in which Eddie and Shawn had an emotional talk along the seashore in Kenting National Park, Taiwan. Eddie’s character is about to go on an expedition, and the friends bid a temporary farewell. They took off their shirts and dove into the ocean, showing off their fit bodies and perfectly tanned skin.
Even director Dante Lam agreed it was a spectacular sight and was extremely pleased with the results. In the scene, Eddie and Shawn raced each other to see who could swim faster and later returned to shore on surfboards. As soon as the cameras stopped rolling, Eddie and Shawn began to playfully splash water at each other. When Eddie spotted the cameraman who was in charge of taking the stills for the film, he jokingly exclaimed, “I need to look handsome. Take it quickly, take it quickly!”
Although everything turned out splendid on camera, the Eddie and Shawn faced many hardships during filming. The cast and crew put in a lot of effort to generate the best of outcomes. While completing the cycling scenes, Eddie and Shawn often fell off their bikes and injured themselves. There were several wounds on their legs, hips, and thigh areas.
The actors revealed, “Sometimes our bandaging fell off as soon as we entered the water, but we didn’t want to immediately head back onshore to get it redone, so we just had to deal with it. Since it was salt water, it felt really bad when it touched our wounds.” The crew praised Eddie and Shawn for their courageousness and hard-working spirit.
