Ron Ng: “I Was Not Betrayed by Viann Zhang!”
Ron Ng (吳卓羲)appeared at a promotional event yesterday. When reporters asked him about his rumored romantic with mainland-model-turned-actress, Viann Zhang (張馨予), Ron indicated that he did not want to respond to his private matters. Last week, Ron was spotted picking up Viann at the Hong Kong airport and returning to his home afterwards. When reporters pressed that he and Viann had stayed at his apartment for over ten hours, Ron replied, “Actually, we did venture outside to have a meal with friends.”
Allegedly, Viann may have alerted the paparazzi that Ron would pick her up at the airport, leading to exposure of their romance. Ron expressed his trust in his girlfriend, “I have trust in myself and my friends. I was not betrayed by anyone.” (Raymond Lam (林峯)was betrayed by ex-girlfriend, Mavis Pan (潘霜霜)in the past). “Raymond’s incident is over. Please let me go.”
When reporters noted that Ron’s fans were concerned he will get hurt in the relationship with Viann, he responded, “It’s better to worry about my body getting hurt instead. Recent filming has instigated pain in my left leg, which suffered a ligament injury previously. The doctor advised surgery, but I do not have time to do so due to the tight work schedule.”
Cilla Lok (樂瞳), who was also present at the same promotional event, treated her father to a Chiu Chow dinner to celebrate Father’s Day. However the quality of the dishes were mediocre, leaving both father and daughter disappointed.

Jayne: It is possible that Viann may have tipped the paparazzi that she is dating Ron Ng. It really depends on how deep their relationship is. She did somewhat flaunt her relationship with Ron last November, when she posted a photo of herself taken at Ron’s apartment , which helped the public link them together.
The other possibility is that someone working in the airline industry noted Viann’s name on a certain flight and alerted the paparazzi. Even if they followed Viann to the parking lot, it would have been difficult to get such clear photos at such a good vantage point. The camera angles were very well positioned, as if there was a lot of time to set up and prepare for those shots ahead of time.
Or the paparazzis were tailing him.
I doubt the airline industry had anything to do with it. Would they be that unprofessional? I’m not trying to say it’s Viann Zhang’s fault either. Maybe the paparazzi is just really good at what they’re doing, lol.
No one knows if it was really Viann’s intention to expose her romance with Ron or not. However, I have a feeling that could have been her intention to get herself more known to the public. Or it could have been as Addy says that the paparazzi is very good at what they do. Time will tell if she and Ron are truly together and whether they are serious or not.
I wonder why Ron did not mention being with his father on father’s day or not??
I haven’t never heard about his father. I heard him comment that he lives with mother. I read in his profile that he has sister and brother, but also have never heard about them.
I heard that his sister was the one that influenced him to join the circle. I am guessing that he grew up in a single parent family so he never mentions his father. I never heard about his brother but heard about his sister a few times.

As for his sister, she used to be a dancer and recommended him in. I think few months back she was photographed driving his Merc by the tabloids.
I have a very foggy mind on Ron’s family but after Melody mentioned, I rmb that I read somewhere the same thing about his brother.
If that is the case, then I can see why he doesn’t want to mention his brother and father and prefers to talk about his sister instead.
I don’t recall of any time he mentioned of his sister, other than the only time when he said that his sister wannabe a dancer?

While I understand Viann’s desire to gain more publicity as she is indeed a new actress, I will be disappointed if she did in fact tip the paparazzi to promote herself. Unless Ron acknowledges this beforehand or if they both had the talk about letting their relationship go public, it can be considered lying if the other party doesn’t agree.

I think it’s the clarity of the original Appledaily photos of Viann and Ron which makes one wonder if she tipped the media. The camera angles seem to indicate that the reporter was expecting their entrance in the parking lot and had camped out in advance to take those photos. The couple only lingered in parking lot for 20 seconds, not much time for a reporter running after Viann after she got off gates to take those photos in the parking lot.
There was a definite tip to media, just a matter of where it came from.
Jayne make a correct assumption. If anything I wont hesitate to believe that Viann tipped the media to gain some news. The placement of the camera is so right on the spot.
Even if she were to make herself more famous and popular, why would she pick Ron Ng? I mean he doesn’t have that much news.

I still don’t think Viann is sincere towards Ron probably due to her looks, her looks give people an impression that she aims high for eg. in statutory, wealth and popularity. With her fictional body and facial gives ppl that she’s a faker who only date famous, rich and popular male artist doesn’t matter whether they’re from mainland, taiwan or hk. I try not to judge people on appearance. But there is a saying something in Chinese “a person looks appearance tells their heart (inside)” something like that. But I don’t think it true, take for example Frankie Lam Man Lung. His “Looks” never Never Never strike me as a man who would have a brief affairs with a woman in mainland while he have some marriage problems with Kenix. But he did, I remember read in the news, Frankie admitted it that when he have that brief affair, that was at the most hardship time in his marriage with Kenix (well that never an excuse for a married man to have affair, not even a “brief” affair.
I do not like Viann, her beauty is not natural, she strike me as fake. But to be fair, I try not to think bad of her since she not done anything harmful to Ron yet. Let wait and see in the future if she did anything then we can critize her. There a saying “Times will prove everything”
Well, it’s hard not to judge someone by his appearance when you try to make a conclusion of his behavior pattern. For eg, if a drug addict walks to you one day and ask for a cigarette, would you treat him like a normal friend, give him a cigarette and even light up for him? OR you will distance from him? And what if a man who acts all horny toward you, do you still treat him like a friend, accept his invitation and hang out with him? Human make judgement on another human being basically from their looks as their 1st impression of someone’s behavior pattern.
Yeah, Viann may looks too pretty to be bad to Ron and only time can tells everything but Viann’s 1st impression given to some of us here is that she’s fake to Ron and she has something hidden in her agenda to be with Ron.

I think it’s only wrong if one person announces it without the other’s consent. It doesn’t matter if it’s the man or woman who does the announcing although it will make Ron look more manly if he acknowledges his gf publicly. (That was the issue with Moses and Bernice.) That would seem like betrayal. If the person who publicizes it without the consent of the other person and he/she is less popular, it’s inevitable that the audience would view them as trying to gain publicity.
I do not like Viann, I also do not think she is pretty, I think she fake.
But I try not to judge people based on their looks. And also how can you tell if someone is a drug addict or not? Unless they at their high point of needing the drugs, how can you tell just by “looks”?
As for sexy ads or fake boobs, at Viann age especially in the entertainment circles, there alot of pressure and competition. Just like normal people in high school also have “teen pressure” to smoke or drinks.

I didnt say you’re wrong for not judging someone by their looks but let’s face the fact here, if someone who looks pale, fishy, dirty, smelly and suspicious started chatting with you out of no where, would you keep a distance from him or befriend to him and lets time to tell whether if this person is nice or not to qualify as a friend? Every humans have this basic instinct in them which helps to send alarm/alert to them whenever something dangerous or suspicious approaching.
I live in a country where crimes have always been at a high rate and I’ve seen ppl robbed others in a daylight. I even experienced being molested while travelling alone in the bus. I learned from my experiences that whenever suspicious looking people approaching, i will keep a distance from them.
Of course, I’m not saying all ppl are suspicious…especially not Viann who seems to look “perfect” for most men with her sexy figure and angel face. I was merely stating Viann’s looks give me an impression that she’s fake as physical and I doubt her sincerity’s level in love with Ron.
After I know more about Viann’s scandal with her past bf, it sounds just like a publicity stunt for Viann

I agree and looks can be deceiving, therefore, I never want to judge anyone on just looks alone. Some people can look all sweet but are really bad and mean people and vice versa. Although Viann may look pretty and sexy to guys, her looks are fake looking and artificial. Also, the fact that she really wants everyone to know that she is with Ron sort of implies that she wants to be more known…We are all just making guesses and speculations so who knows?? Time will tell if we are right or not.
By the way, may I ask which country you live in?? It sounds so scary that you actually see people get robbed during the daytime?? That is scary..

I live in Kuala Lumpur, Msia where Nic is currently shooting the Viral Factor movie now lol… I often face road closure while on the way to work due to Nic and Jay’s filming process lol.
Yeah, my country is sort of scary sometimes kekeke. I’ve seen a woman got robbed of her gold necklace in the daylight and she was grabbing her neck which is filled with blood caused by slashing. I even saw the malay robber running towards me holding a knife..it was just scary!
I’ve seen young girl being sexually harrased by some malay or indian guy while she was on a bus..
The prob with my country is because there are high amount/qty of foreigners working in our country illegally which caused social disharmony and etc.. Other souces could be we’re from a multi-racial country where racist issue is still happening because certain community are being treated way better than others…and etc.

Thanks for your info! Your country sounds kind of scary so I bet you are a brave person. My 6th brother, younger brother and cousins just went on an Asian tour in Feb of this year and really enjoyed it. They went to Taiwan, Vietnam and Malaysia. My brothers and cousins enjoyed Malaysia a lot as well. I heard that Vietnam is like that as well, but they treat tourists very well since they are afraid that tourists would not want to come if they get robbed or mugged. My brothers and cousins did not see any crimes in Malaysia. I am guessing it was because they are only tourists. They said that they like Taiwan the most out of the 3 countries that they went to.

Thanks again for your info! Well, isn’t Taiwan also a Chinese country?? My little brother loved Taiwan and did not want to go home and wants to live there. He enjoyed Vietnam and Malaysia as well but did not want to live in those places. My sister in law and nephew just came back from her trip to HK, South Korea and China. My sister in law in from HK and has been there many many times. She likes it but was a bit bored since she has been there too many times. My nephew loved South Korea the most. Have you been there yet?? About Vietnam, I have heard a lot of bad stories about them that it sort of makes me mad.

Which is why they always ensure that the tourists are safe from any robbing or mugging. However, tourists are often ripped off by the locals. My brothers and cousins all said that by ripping them off, it was just another form/way of being robbed. They said that the people in Vietnam are really greedy and would cheat money or beg money off of you whenever they can and in any way they can. I know way too many people that have been there and have family there as well so I know it all too well.

I want to inform you that Vietnam is voted for one of best places in the world for tourist and one of safest areas in the world as well. The friendly behaviour of Vietnamese is also highly recommended by ppl.

Sorry but you are the one that is lost… Vietnam is a poor country ok. It is true that they are doing better than before, but a majority of the population are still very very poor… There are some rich people there but not many. I know that for a fact because like I have said, I have family there. One time, one of my cousins made up a story and pretended to be sick just to get money out of my family. Then we found out and did not send her anything again. My family is in the US and people from Vietnam even beg off of us here, but when in Vietnam it is even worse. I can tell you endless stories about my family and in laws in Vietnam that cheat my family in the US out of money but it would be endless…. Also, you would excuse it all anyways and think that the people there are so rich, kind and friendly… If you think so, then let it be…
I also want to add that hardly anyone in Vietnam treated anyone of my family members well without an intention. My aunt and cousin treated my parents well, but in the end my parents had to fork out a lot of money to them… One time my dad didn’t and they started to treat him badly and kept on asking him when he was going to be leaving… This is family too and not just outsiders so you can see how people are. I do agree that rich people are nice since they don’t need money, but sadly there are not a lot of rich people there.
My brothers and cousins went to Hanoi, Saigon, Vinh Ha long and some other places that I don’t know about since they did not tell me. But they said that people there were like thieves… They would always rip my brothers and cousins off since they knew that they were foreigners and wanted to take as much money from them as they can. Since they often spoke in English, those ladies and people at the shops would always say in to rip them off in Vietnamese thinking that my brothers and cousins did not understand but sadly they did and they still ripped them off…
I’ve never been to Vietnam so I cannot comment on the integrity of the people who live there… but I think you pretty much have good and bad people everywhere. But in the US, better quality of life allows people to be better people. Also, even in China/Taiwan, street vendors will try to rip off foreigners. A Caucasian friend of mine went to China and knew he was being ripped off, but he didn’t mind b/c he felt he was getting a better deal for the item than if he was buying it in the US… I suppose it’s just the way you choose to look at it.

I can tell you the different thing. Vietnam has the smaller gap between rich and poor ppl than many other countries, including the South Korea that you praised. At least in Vietnam, ppl in big cities don’t look down on other ppl like ppl in Keangnam look down on ppl in the old city. You haven’t been to Vietnam so you don’t know that Vietnam isn’t that poor anymore. Ppl in Vietnam are as update as ppl in any other countries, even more update than some other countries.

I agree with HTS. I’ve heard lots of bad stories about vietnam too. My friend’s dad suddenly died while visiting Vietnam so she had to go there to bring him back. but all her relatives cared about was money and keeping his belongings like camera and camcorder. i know part of it is b/c they’re poor but they are also lazy. They think people in US are rich so they don’t bother to work. they just keep asking for money.
I think fox is naive that the locals are friendly without any intentions. for instance, never let your husband or bf go there without u. those desperate girls there can smell tourists a mile away and they will definitely try to hook the guy.

Yes, have ppl who has relatives in US who only live on the money from US and only care for money from US family. But these ppl are not that many. Still have a large amount of ppl who are working and have money from their own talents. Like 5% to 95% others. Yes, only 5% of Vietnamese now have family who went to US during/after the army time (70s-80s).

I never liked her either and thought she was not even a good actress. But thought Ron was good in it. So tonight when I watch it I shall have to take notice of his head moving.

Elaine Yiu was slightly better in that other series with Steven Ma where she played the good girl but definitely I hated her character in RDOV. Sounds awful but I couldn’t even feel sorry for her when she was knocked down by a vehicle as she wanted to kill that other girl (can’t remember her name). English translations to these Chinese dramas are a bit funny at times. In Chinese its “Chow Deem Fung Wan” – so it should be something like “Happenings within a hotel” so don’t know why they called it revolting doors of vengeance!!! Weird.
Chloe is a hatable character. She is annoying.
The Eng name isn’t literally translation of the Chinese name :). Chow Deem Fung Wan = storm/crisis in the hotel, so RVOD is indirectly linked to the crisis.
I’m quite disappointed with Ron’s acting though, after so many years, still rather ‘wooden’ or maybe it’s the characters he play..he still seems a bit self-conscious and stiff in front of the camera but overall he’s alright..
Is anyone watching ‘Wax and Wane’? OMG, it’s SO boring…major zzzz the female cast with the exception of Sunny’s wife are mostly on my dislike list too..
and what’s up with Kate Tsui’s long overly straight hair? Not flattering at all!
Whjat??!! I quite enjoy Wax and Wayne even though the storyline has been overly used. And I love the pairing between Ron and Kate. Think there’s not enough scenes of Ron and Kate together. The drama’s not too boring. I don’t think Sunny’s wife did a very good acting though of a housewife. Toby’s acting Is really good though. Acted her character really well.!!!
Also, Personally, I don’t really like Ron’s maybe GF. I’d rather Ron pick a canto girl from HK. It’d be even better if his GF is someone he’s paired with in dramas that I like.
It’s Ron’s love life and Ron’s Gf. He chose her, not the Canto girls from HK or someone he’s paired with in dramas that you like, it has some means. Maybe the Canto girls from HK or someone he’s paired with in dramas that you like are not good as Viann. Good look or good personality, or both.
OMG, yeah wax and wane is really boring. And sunny chan’s character is so annoying. They just keep arguing and arguing over the same thing. I agree Kate tsui’s does not look good like that.

I think that viann is using Ron and its pretty obvious. No one even knew who she was until the news of them dating came out.
