Tavia Yeung to Celebrate Her Birthday With Mother
TVB actress Tavia Yeung (楊怡) earlier attended a promotional event in Sheung Wan for her upcoming series, Momentary Lapse of Reason <收規華>, which premieres on August 31 at 9:30p.m. Since her 36th birthday is coming up on August 30, the cast members took the chance to hold an early mini celebration and surprised her with a cake. Tavia laughed and expressed that she almost forgot her birthday is approaching due to her hectic career.
During her interview with the press, Tavia exclaimed, “I usually always have to work on my birthday and don’t really have any special celebrations. My mother likes to celebrate my lunar birthday instead.” When asked if she is saving her Gregorian birthday celebration for her boyfriend Him Law (羅仲謙), Tavia replied, “I celebrate both days with my mother! I always have little chance [to celebrate with Him].”
Tavia revealed that if time allows, she and Him would enjoy a meal together, but he is currently away and filming in Taiwan. When reporters suggested that Him might plan a surprise for her, Tavia remarked, “I won’t be able to stand that! He’s been filming in Taiwan for a while already, but I think he is still going to send me a birthday message.”
So far, the only gift Tavia received is her mother’s red envelope. Speaking of possibly getting a new property as a gift from her boyfriend, the actress shared that she would rather not at this moment, since the market is recently plunging.
Earlier, Louis Cheung (張繼聰), Tavia’s costar in Momentary Lapse of Reason, was said to have had his pants constantly fall off during filming. In response to the tabloids, Tavia explained that the pants were improperly designed and thus the zipper could not be fully zipped. When asked about Rosina Lam’s (林夏薇) upcoming wedding, she shared that Rosina promised to invite her and that she would take this opportunity to ask her husband for some business tips.
