Tavia Yeung Still Dating Lai Lok Yi?
Although Tavia Yeung’s (楊怡) growing “Pinnochio nose” was a hot topic of discussion recently, the growing controversy also boosted her popularity. Tavia’s fee at promotional events increased to $20,000 HKD per show recently, increasing her income significantly. As for her love life, since breaking up with businessman Nam Wai Kit (藍偉傑) in 2008, it was rumored that Tavia started dating TVB colleague, Lai Lok Yi (黎諾懿) in 2009.
Allegedly, Tavia’s mother did not approve of Lai Lok Yi since he had no money and no career. Tavia’s mother even reportedly attempted to break up the pair. However, Lai Lok Yi hoped to improve his relationship with Tavia’s mother. With more prominent roles in television series and more work, Mrs. Yeung’s impression of Lok Yi changed.
According to an inside source, “Over the last year, Lai Lok Yi would meet with Tavia’s mother occasionally. It was obvious that Lai Lok Yi and Mrs. Yeung’s relationship was not as bad as before. Also he won the grand prize in Hunan TV’s dance program <舞動奇迹 3>, boosting his popularity in China significantly. Tavia was extremely pleased.”
In late 2009, Tavia and Lai Lok Yi started dating. The paparazzi photographed the couple shopping for a camera in Tsim Sha Tsui.
In January 2010, Tavia was caught riding in Lai Lok Yi’s Subaru R2 car. Upon discovery of the paparazzi, Tavia lowered her cap and spoke on the phone, appearing to be extremely awkward.
With both Tavia’s career and love life going well, coupled with her mother’s acceptance of Lai Lok Li, perhaps it would not matter if Tavia’s “Pinnochio nose” continued to grow!

At recent promotional events for “On Call 26 Hours,” Tavia claimed that she has been single and “dry” for a long time. Reporters suggested she have a fling with co-star, Him Law.
I think Tavia did break up with former boyfriend, Nam Wai Kit. While they were together, there would be occasional paparazzi photos of the pair going shopping, going to the beach, etc. But no more photos lately for years.
Tavia and Lai Lok Yi seem to be straight forward types who are not very eloquent in speech.

Yoyo and Lok Yi have a “sister/brother” relationship, they always go eat and hang out with a group of friends together, there’s no reason they are not on his birthday, unless he has a girl to accompany him on that night, and from what her expression, I can understand he has someone special, but not sure if it’s Tavia.

Yeah, but some supporting roles can shine. Lai Lok Yi just can’t. Personally, I have no faith in his acting and even if he was given a good role, I doubt he will do that great. He lacks the charm than someone like Oscar Leung has, even though he is short and not as masculine. Oscar is simply very memorable in his supporting roles while someone like Lok Yi is boring. The only reason I don’t dislike him is because he has been playing good, but once again BORING characters.
Lok Yi’s role in ‘Every Move You Make’ is quite funny. Not a boring character.

I’m kinda surprised at all the people thinking that Tavia is boring. I don’t know how she was in the beginning, but whenever I see interviews with her now, I see her as always laughing and gets along with a lot of people.
Tavia is fun in interviews and seems playful and friendly with everyone, but her roles/characters are boring since she always play the same types with enormous crying scenes. However, when she’s interviewed on the spot, I don’t seem to like her responses and they come off as too safe and thus, boring. But I’m assuming she’s just being obedient like Linda.

Lok-yi was rumored to be Yoyo Mung’s boyfriend before. They were hanging out together. But it turned out that he was the middle-man between Ekin and her. Also the some other rich businessman. They thought he bought her a car coz she was driving his car. But that turned out to be her brother-in-law (Griselda’s now husband). Sometimes the media never get the info right.
If rumors, what about her intimacy wit Ron recently at a YSNS promotional event? She was sitting on his lap, his hands were wrapped around her waist. Or what about when she went camera shopping with Pierre Ngo last year? Or what about her Weibo interactions and dog-walking with Ruco Chan? Kenneth Ma has openly talked about liking Tavia. Her mum likes Kenneth and Kenneth’s mum likes her.
There’s so many rumours and possibilities that the media doesn’t go talk about and investigate…. they continue to make up stories like this….. Actually I WANT the media to follow her… I really want to know who she’s going out with…. I can’t believe such a pretty and fun girl like Tavia is still single!!!

Such as Linda, I’m a stranger to her and when I went to ask for her autograph for my friend, I only said: “Can you give me your autograph for my friend?” And she said “Yes”, do it immediately. I highly value this action of Linda. Although I don’t like her acting much, after that, I started to like Linda. Another example, my friend who isn’t a fan of Michelle Yim, met her and been invited to go back to hotel in Michelle’s car as it was late. Being friendly to a stranger isn’t anything bad to an artist.
I actually heard a lot of such unfriendly to stranger attitude about TY. Maybe because you are a fan, you won’t know this :P.
Kate’s friendly and sociable character is said by an insider in an article. Of course, you can choose to blv or not. When I met Kate, I think she is quite of that.

I have doubts about your opinion of Kate too. Google Kate Tsui… you’ll be able to bring up MANY reports/articles that she’s not such a good person in real life. She’s known to be arrogant, rude, lazy, bad attitude on film set…. heaps.

I’ve never heard of Tavia dating before. I also like Lai Lok Yee so hope that things work out for them. Doesn’t matter that he has no money as he is still young and has lots of opportunities. Tavia’s mum is probably one of these very old fashioned Chinese women who thinks that the husband should earn more than the wife and hence her dislike of Lok Yee. Maybe if he got more roles then things would change for them.

Maybe the scanned article will become available later. If not, the contents are pretty clear by the cover photo. Lai Lok Yi was photographed parking at Tavia’s house and spending time with her mother. He admitted he spent time with her family and had good feelings for her.
