Tavia Yeung and Ron Ng Team Up, Will Make Him Law’s Life Miserable
Former TVB actors Tavia Yeung (楊怡) and Ron Ng (吳卓羲) recently teamed up with their former colleagues Ruco Chan (陳展鵬) and Nancy Wu (胡定欣) for a concert in Malaysia. It’s been quite a while since “Taro’s” last collaboration, and fans rushed to the concert to see their favorite on-screen couple sing on stage.
At the Be Charmed 2 Live in Malaysia concert, Tavia and Ron gave solo performances of their previous singles. Ron charmed the fans with some of his fan service by introducing the popular mobile game Pokémon Go before he performed the Cantonese theme song for the Pokémon anime series.
Tavia, on the other hand, was teased about her husband Him Law (羅仲謙) when she performed Sammi Cheng’s (鄭秀文) “Forever Beautiful” <終身美麗>. The organizers of the concert surprised Tavia by broadcasting a photo of their wedding on screen. She said, “I never really gave much thought about the lyrics before, but now that I’m performing it again, a lot of memories are coming back to me. I have already found my forever beauty.”
After the concert, Tavia and Ron flew to Mainland China and took the high speed rail to Changsha to film the variety show Day Day Up <天天上上>. The “Taro” kept their fans updated on social media about their adventure.
As it was their first time taking high speed rail, Tavia and Ron said they were as excited as little kids. “Such a comfortable ride,” said Tavia. “There’s a lot of room, and there’s Internet so you won’t be disconnected with the world. There’s also great scenery.”
Tavia and Ron share a lot of history together. These same-age friends debuted together, got promoted together, and left TVB at around the same time. Due to individual schedules, Tavia and Him couldn’t spend the Double Seventh Festival together, but the actress said she is grateful that she could at least spend it with Ron.
“[Ron] and I have a really special relationship,” shared Tavia. “It’s hard to put it in words. Guys and girls can have close platonic relationships. Maybe it’s because we are both virgos. We’ve known each other for many years and we also share the same manager, so Ron is like my family. We talk about everything together. Ron is more extroverted than me, but even so, we would always talk nonstop whenever we see each other.”
In regards to her upcoming Hong Kong wedding banquet with Him, Tavia said, “Very busy. I don’t know what to do first. Thankfully everything’s been very smooth and have received many great suggestions from friends. I am actually most concerned about the seating arrangements. I want everyone to be happy at the wedding! It’s such a great opportunity for all our friends to come together after a long time. We will try to satisfy everyone.”
Tavia hinted that there will be a portion where her guests get to prank the groom. “No need to hold back! This is his test. After all, you can’t get something without going through obstacles.”

I wished they were paired up together for one more series before they left TVB. Or even BoTa 🙁 TaRo and BoTa are my favorite onscreen couples but there are no more chances of that happening. I’m sad.
