Tavia Yeung, Him Law Talk First Date and Reveal More Wedding Details
Tavia Yeung (楊怡) and Him Law (羅仲謙) made a rare couple appearance at a mooncake event on August 30. As it was also Tavia’s 37th birthday, Him and the organizers surprised the actress with a large, heart-shaped cake.
Tavia and Him do not hold big celebrations for their birthday, but Tavia did say Him gave her a small piece of jewelry for her birthday. Him, whose birthday was on August 28, jealously said, “How come no one is asking me about my birthday?” Tavia laughed and told the press, “I actually didn’t give him a birthday present!” Him smiled and said, “It’s okay. You are already the present.”
The couple, who officially tied the knot in Europe in March, re-confirmed their upcoming Hong Kong wedding date to be on October 2. They urged everyone to save the date. Tavia shared that they have booked over 40 tables for their wedding banquet, and are now preparing to send out wedding invitations.
Tavia’s bridesmaids will comprise of Natalie Tong (唐詩詠), Sire Ma (司馬賽), Akina Hong (康華), Meini Cheung (張美妮), her sister Griselda Yeung (楊卓娜), and some of Tavia’s classmates from her year’s acting class. Him’s groomsmen include Ron Ng (吳卓羲), Kenneth Ma (馬國明), Vincent Wong (王浩信), and Pal Sinn (單立文).
In an earlier interview, Tavia said she and her bridesmaids will “make Him’s life miserable” during their wedding door games. Upon hearing this, Him said, “As long as they don’t mess up my hair, then I’m okay with anything!” Tavia said, “We understand this. Time is tight after all; we have no time for them to tidy up again before the ceremony.”
Him said Tavia likes fairytale weddings, and revealed that their upcoming wedding ceremony will have that theme in mind. Him explained, “Our first date was at Disneyland, so we want to bring that feel back.” Tavia said, “He dressed up as Donald Duck and surprised me!”

I like this couple. They came by the most naturally. They held no secrets, nor did they overexpose. They are truly a cute wonderful couple!
Him should really refrain from kissing tavia on the cheek like that cos every tme he does that, i see a small boy kissing his big sis. With that haircut he looks at least 10 years younger than tavia.
@isay
I know, some couples are very OBVIOUS and this is it. I mean, I don’t think TY is that old looking yet but with HL standing next to her, she def looks like a big sis more than a wife. But there are some couples who are even worst. Like that ex TVB woman Nnadia or whatever name now w/the 10 years younger hubby or something. You can tell straight away she’s older too but at least TY still looks good imo anyway. =]
There was this Hong Yan – she is 10 years older but I actually thought she looks really great even if mainland hubby was 10 years younger.
@went I actually think that Hung Yan are much prettier than Tavia. I have saw a few pictures of her husband he seems pretty young and a good looking guy too. As for Tavia she used to be pretty back in the old day but then later on she have to mess up her nose which it makes her look so weird in a way.
@isay really? in my honest opinion, they look physically matching. Him never looked young to me, he always looked older to me lol
Tavia Yeung is 37 and Him Law is 32 years old. Tavia Yeung looks good for her age. In fact she has been working very hard to make herself look young to match up with her husband, Him Law. Unfortunately, Him Law has a young and baby face. He does not even look his real age, 32. He looks like a guy in his late 20s.
Hopefully Tavia Yeung will not age quickly and Him Law will get maturer. However, woman does show her age more after mid 40s.
@orchid123 tavia is older than him…with child birth, a woman will age faster. it’s nice to have a hubby with a baby face, but if the wife is older, then she will look like an elder sister instead.
Who the hell cares that Tavia is older and looks older than Him/him? Lol. She doesn’t look that much older than him to be talked to death about it. I’ve seen worse age gaps. Not to mention the double standard that it seems to be more okay when the male is a decade or more older than his other half. Pshhh.
They seem very sweet and stable! I saw some clips from the event. They’re more relaxed and comfortable in public now than previous events.
@dandan
I totally agree. Sucks people keep saying these things, and then wonder why some get plastic surgery. It’s because of these comments, some celebrities keep reading and It makes them feel insecure. I actually really like tavia and him as a couple. They came the most naturally.
@dandan
I have to say something about this as well. Who cares about the few years age gap? Tavia looks good with Him Law. Him is not that baby-faced as he looks his age and Tavia looks younger than her age. Fred Cheng has a baby face but not Him Law. If a girl is a few years older than her bf, she looks like an older sister? So if a guy is a couple of years older than his gf, he looks like an older brother too. No? An older brother IS ACTUALLY older than his younger sister. So please stop the stereotyping. A few years is nothing. It’s not like mother and son at all. Charmaine Sheh looks so good with Raymond Lam, even better than Raymond with his young gf. I know some of you are young (teens), so a few years means A LOT to you. But please stop this stereotyped thinking. If they are in love and are married, age isn’t a factor unless they are like mother and son or father and daughter. So I think within 10 years of age gap is safe, whether guys or girls older. 20 years might be ok if they don’t look like father/daughter or mother/son.
@dandan
Fully agree. There is another couple who has so much difference in height and looks (the guy is so much shorter and uglier) and yet people come out to defend them when they are being criticised. Talk about double standards here at this forum.
There are just so many self righteous forum sheriffs here who try to control what others think and say. This is an entertainment forum and gossip is normal. Doesn’t mean everyone is expected to say only nice things about everyone or be politically correct all the time. As long as the forum poster doesn’t spread malicious lies , he/ she is entitled to state her opinion.
@isay that is the problem with some people. Or should i say the person who has multiple account. That she/he can’t tell the difference between stating an opinion and spreading lies that she/he enjoy doing.
Also surprised not to see shu q and stephen fung marriage news here! Congratulations to the couple!
I’m not too concerned about their looks compatibility and age difference. I think the career situation of both is the most important. It is important that the male is the more dominant earner but I think this work out fine here since Tavia’s career doesn’t look like to be progressing too much further. Him is still reach his peak and has potential to be the bigger earner. That is yet to be determined though. It has worked out well for the likes of Nick Cheung and Max Zhang in the past. Hopefully Him doesn’t relies on the limelight of being a celebrity couple to carry him forward in his career.
