Kevin Cheng Romantically Interested in Christine Kuo?
After the broadcast of mainland drama, Bu Bu Jing Xin <步步驚心>, Kevin Cheng’s (鄭嘉穎) popularity soared in China. Allegedly, mainland companies paid Kevin $160,000 Yuan per episode in filming fees. Aside from his market value in China, Kevin also had the chance to win the TV King award in Hong Kong for his performance in Ghetto Justice <怒火街頭> as “Law Ba.”
Kevin’s new found wealth may have stirred a fiery full-body itch within him. Currently filming Ghetto Justice 2, Kevin allegedly may be intensely attracted to his costar, Christine Kuo (苟芸慧), who possessed a 34C figure. On October 21st, after drinking several cups of beer during filming, Kevin made a move. Unfortunately Christine turned him down and said, “I think he drank a bit too much.” Poor Kevin!
Forty-one-year-old Kevin Cheng’s career was revived this year after his series became popular hits in both Hong Kong and mainland China. However, Kevin’s love life was empty since being romantically linked with mainland model, Jenny Tsui (徐靖雯) in August 2010. At the time, the paparazzi witnessed Jenny staying at Kevin’s apartment for 72 hours. However, Jenny started dating actor, Chow Chi Yeung (周子揚) recently. Without a girlfriend, Kevin was extremely “dry” although it was understood that he possessed very good feelings towards Christine Kuo.
Possessing a Knockout Figure
Twenty-eight-year-old Christine Kuo was the 2009 Miss Chinese International crown. Possessing a beautiful face, Christine’s devilish 34C body made her a goddess among many bachelors. Since TVB was lacking fadans, Christine became heavily promoted and was cast as a supporting actress in Ghetto Justice 2. Portraying Kevin’s ex-wife in the sequel, Christine will fight with Myolie Wu (胡杏兒) for Law Ba’s love. Christine will appear from the beginning through the end of the series. Filming a running scene on October 20th in the Sham Shui Po district, Christine wore a low-cut tank top which revealed the jiggling of her chest, successfully attracting nearly 100 onlookers.
Kevin Highly Praises Christine
Kevin possessed extremely good feelings towards Christine. In an interview with an entertainment news program on October 17th, Kevin praised Christine in the following manner, “She is very smart…I have only filmed with her for two days…but she is a very hard working actress….” Although Kevin only worked with Christine for only two days, how did he know that she was very smart and hard working? Kevin must have paid very careful attention to Christine!
Pretending to Be Drunk for Photo Opportunity
Although Christine was currently dating former 2009 Mr. Hong Kong participant, 24-year-old Joey Law (羅天宇), Kevin was not shy in publicly praising Christine. On Due to a beer sponsorship for Ghetto Justice 2, Kevin and Christine had to drink real beer for a scene filmed on October 21st. Kevin was very considerate and advised Christine to not drink the beer. The reporter overheard Kevin telling Christine, “You can pretend to drink the beer; otherwise, I’m afraid you will get drunk!” Afterwards, Kevin took out his cell phone to take a picture with Christine.
Although Kevin took the initiative, Christine may not be interested as she stated to the press, “Kevin is very handsome. In the past, I thought he was very cool, but he possesses a good sense of humor!” (Do you sense that he is pursuing you?) “What? My relationship with Joey Law is very stable.” (He asked to take a picture with you?) “I think he drank too much beer!” Aside from drinking too much, maybe he thought too much!
Despite Kevin Cheng’s Pursuit of Christine Kuo, Joey Law Remains Calm
With TV King Kevin Cheng showing such consideration towards Christine, perhaps her boyfriend, Joey Law, should be concerned. Although Joey’s popularity and market value cannot compare to Kevin at the moment, but 24-year-old Joey won on the grounds of his youth. Asked whether he was concerned that his girlfriend would be wrestled away, Joey said confidently, “Christine and I have an understanding that filming series will lead to such situations. I am not afraid of him (Kevin Cheng)! There’s nothing special in taking photos together!”
Although 28-year-old Christine Kuo has not been crowned Miss Chinese International for a lengthy period of time, she has advanced to filming series. Despite being unable to perfect her Cantonese, she had a good deal of opportunities. Aside from being a goddess in single men’s eyes, Christine advanced to first-line actress status due to the lack of fadans at TVB. Christine had numerous humorous scenes in Super Snoops <荃加福祿壽探案>.
In Ghetto Justice 2, Christine was the supporting actress and portrayed Law Ba’s ex-wife. Christine said that she had to wear tube tops in the series, “My character is not too sexy, but I always wear tube tops. If the script requires it, I do not mind filming bed scenes! However, television limitations will restrict the level of intimacy shown!”

Googled her bio and just realized she’s from Taiwan. Taiwan has some of the most gorgeous and naturally elegant beauties I’ve ever seen. From the 80s/90s, there were the talented film actresses Brigitte Lin, Joey Wong, etc. And from the current breed of Taiwan actresses, her elegance reminds me of Lin Chi Ling, Ady An, and the Taiwanese actress that was in BBJX. 😛
Why are we comparing Christine and Aimee anyway?
Christine has a more elegant look, yes, I agree, reminds one of Kelly Lin.
I find Aimee’s look cute but wonder whether limited. I always see her in short hair with a thick hair band. Perhaps her features are too delicate and cute/ sweet to stand out.

Hm… Acting wise – Aimee is a better actress. Only better compared to Christine, I still find she’s not fully natural with her acting and sometimes its OTT.
Look wise – Yes, Christine is better looking and has really nice skin!
Cantonese wise – Aimee speaks better, but that’s obvious since (I am assuming) Christine didn’t speak Cantonese before and had to learn from scratch. Aimee still needs to work on her Cantonese though.
Conclusion – Out of Christine and Aimee, I think I would rather watch Aimee – at least she’s not all wooden and I can understand most of what she says. Christine is just a pretty face I’m afraid. So again, WHY is she in GJ2 from beginning to end??? Gah WHY??

Well, having no close-up pictures of Christine Kuo it is difficult to really assess her looks fairly.However, she does seem attractive enough for the men to admire her and I wouldn’t blame them in the least, especially if they are single.

I personally don’t find her attractive. She is easy on the eyes but there is something about her mouth I don’t like it appears to be small and a little crooked…

Christine is indeed beautiful with both looks and a nice body figure. The only shortcoming is the manner in which she carries her smile, which often times seem forced.
I didn’t realize Christine was part of the cast until now. Why does Law Ba have an ex-wife when he already have Wong Sze Fu? It doesn’t make sense unless they were married before the prequel. Either way, I have a feeling this is a serious miscast. She is too new and her Cantonese will be an annoyance to watch. The article stated that she will appear from the beginning to the end of the series?! What happened to casting Niki in this role?

Her voice was not dubbed in Super Snoop. She played a Taiwanese in the series, so, her accent was appropriate for the role. I like her in Super Snoop, she was quite funny. But, I don’t know if she can handle a major serious role or not.
