Either China people really love going to the movies or the crackdown on torrents are so total they had to watch any movie in the cinemas. It seems the movie releases are more about each breaking the record of the former no. 1 movie.
It looks like a movie that seems like it stars Tony Leung and Carina Lau, but they actually play minor characters and the only reason they’re cast is because their fame is needed to promote the movie. Just my impression, hope I’m wrong, but I have my doubts.
Yup..thts wht the advertising people call minor endorsnment of major star with affordable fee
Unfortunately majority of the viewing public need the assurance of a big name to prod them into giving a movie a chance. I personally think Chen Sicheng is a very talented filmmaker and he deserves the attention he’s getting whether it was a by-product of famous costars or not.
