Huang Xiaoming to Confront “Women Who Flirt” on November 28

The romantic comedy Women Who Flirt <撒嬌女人最好命>, starring mainland Chinese actor Huang Xiaoming (黃曉明) and mainland Chinese actress Zhou Xun (周迅), is slated to open in theaters on November 28.

Women Who Flirt is focused on Huang Xiaoming’s character and two of his acquaintances: the candid and straightforward college friend, portrayed by Zhou Xun, and the irresistible and sexy newcomer, played by Taiwanese actress Sonia Sui (隋棠). He is instantly enamored by the latter thanks to her expertise in flirting, and they soon become romantically involved. But one day, he is stunned to discover that Zhou Xun too has learned the art of flirtation.

In a newly released trailer, which is told from the point of view of the male lead, Huang Xiaoming explains the difference between his two female friends: when faced with Sonia, he becomes “an animal fueled by appetite and lust,” but when he looks at Zhou Xun, he sees only a woman who might as well be a man because “she even stands up when she uses the toilet.”

Anticipating high audience interest for Women Who Flirt, which is helmed by well-known Hong Kong director Edmond Pang (彭浩翔), the film’s production company, Huayi Brothers, recently held a special promotional sale. Pairs of tickets were sold for the low price of 29.8 RMB. Within three minutes, more than one-fifth of the tickets available had been snapped up by eager viewers.

Loosely inspired by a self-help romance book titled Everyone Loves Tender Woman <會撒嬌的女人最好命>, Women Who Flirt will be released in theaters in China on November 28. The film will also see a limited release in the United States and Canada starting November 26.
